Randy Orton, adorned with his championship gold, made his way to the ring. After proudly showing off his accomplishment, he waited for Shane. Shane, however, attacked Randy from behind. Desperate to kill Orton's spirit, Shane took the fight into the crowd, and in and out of the ring, until the Legacy ran out. Randy had a brief reprieve. MVP rushed to the ring with great intentions to help Shane, or perhaps get a piece of Orton again. But, the 3 on 1 assault proved to be too much. Like all lemmings being led to their demise, the Animal ran down, also with great intentions, hoping to level the playing field a bit but failed miserably. The Legacy escaped. Damn! All these great intentions are leading to one place: nowhere. It was like, Ortonpalooza out there!
Now look what they did! Vickie Guerrero had to come out and mispronounce Randy's last name again! Like fingernails on a chalkboard! She stormed out with what authority she holds (which seems to be a lot nowadays). Is she afraid the roster won't respect that authority? I wonder why? I'll take Bad GM's past for $1000, Alex. (pff) A series of one-on-one matches were made to decide who joins their respective team for the main event that night. You win, you're in. "It's that simple," she said. I, however, was left wondering.
A grouchy, irritable Matt Hardy treaded lightly to face the ready-as-ever, Kofi Kingston. Matt filed a formal complaint because he was forced to wrestle with a broken hand. Boohoo, Matt. We watch you come out and whine about Jeff every week under protest! Do you hear us complaining...much??? Somehow, (wink wink) after Kofi got the pin, Matt was once again able to clobber Kofi over the head with his cast. Something smells like Hardy funk all up in there!
Santino was shown yuckin' it up in the back with Kelly Kelly about the GM Vickie Guerrero. Chavo overheard and chimed in with a semi-threat for Santino. Speaking of, The Big Oaf approached the GM (and I STILL use that term lightly), about getting his big meat hooks on Cena. My thoughts on the whole John Cena/Big Show feud are to follow. Vickie informed Show that he'd have to wait until Judgment day when John Cena will be medically cleared to compete again.
Cody Rhodes may be a second generation superstar but has 3rd and 4th generation smarts! He drilled MVP through most of the match. William Regal is the one who surprised me. Regal took care of MVP so that a count out would give the WWE Champ a team member! Good Lord, am I liking Regal now? There must be an astrological collision somewhere. This needs further investigation.
Jerry Lawler announced a "sing off" between Jillian and Festus. I'm speechless...
Umm...
The Miz strutted his obnoxious self down the ring. Poor thing, not only is he clinically delusional but NOW he's chewing up the scenery left and right! He continued to provoke and insult Cena. Unlike last week though, Cena DID make it out. He gingerly went face-to-face with the annoyance but knew once out, Show would be on the prowl. And he was! The Big Show DID stand off against Cena and beat the already injured star into an extremely vulnerable state, flat to the mat. Cena had no chance really but to take his lumps. He walked right into the Devil's snare. I don't care if I could barely move. I would've risked it and ran! John Cena's injuries were internal but exposed. He was defenseless AND unguarded and SHOULD NOT have been allowed in the building. Take him back to the hospital and get a team of top notch security to make sure he doesn't escape. I don't care if they have to hire swimming ducks! His NEED for the business is going to be his undoing! He reads like a mystery novel to me lately. He's up. He's down, and something else is going on with him. I don't know what but he's definitely showing it. I'm VERY protective of John Cena. I think it's instinctive or something. I'm conflicted, now. I need an antacid!
The scrappy Mickie James squared off against the sassy Divas Champion, Maryse. Maryse thinks she's all that and a bag of fat-free chips. But it was Mickie that took out the Champ after a fashion. It was a well deserved win, too. I think our Divas Champ needs to brush up on her skills and step up her game now because Mickie is gunning for the Championship.
Ted Dibiase plays his opponents like little fiddles. He does his homework and that is how the Legacy stays mentally fit. They study, survey, make mental notes, and LEARN. Most importantly, they always remember! Dibiase has classic holds, tests the fences for weakness, so to speak, and zooms in on those Achilles heels. Batista was his own worst enemy. He was easily disqualified and rightfully so. The Legacy member may be young but he's learning from the best. He KNOWS. No parts needing fixin' with this well-oiled machine!
Now, William Regal coming to the Legacy's defense is one thing but Chavo too? This is interesting. Chavo ran all over Vickie with what HE thought should be carried out. Does Chavo have a hidden agenda? A Liason, perhaps? Is he proving his worth to the Legacy? Or, does the Legacy have a plan for Chavo? An honest inviting plan or a sinister plan? You just never know. "Love it", she says with an evil giggle.
Who DOESN'T love watching someone get the Backstabber?
AHH, smells like team spirit. So, take a big whiff. That's what it was like as Shane McMahon faced the Legacy alone. For a little bit, it looked like Shane was holding his own, but the gas in his tank began to evaporate. Shane's in ring skills are getting better actually. You've got to give Shane SOME props for even stepping into the ring with the tenacious trio. The match was going as expected until the end. Help was too late. Shane was down and in a big way. Randy picked up a mic and told Batista that HIS Judgment is coming too. Gulp! Whatever it is, it better be good because once Batista DOES "study up", nothing GOOD will be unleashed!
This week's Focus Favorite: John Cena
Shh, I'm listening to reason right now. Yup, still conflicted.
Flawless

U r the #1, undisputed, world's best blogger!! I may not be the biggest Chain Gang Soldier in the world, but I though that wat Big Show did 2 John Cena was apprehensible & just sick. Wit the downfall of Shane O'Mac, Batista is the only superstar left 2 go up against the Tenacious L, & like the rest he'll meet the demise at the hands at the hands of the The Viper Champion & his Legacy.
