    Rushed Hour

Thursday, November 12, 2009, 11:51 AM EST [General]

Yoshi Tatsu was this week's guest on the "critically acclaimed", and I use that term loosely, Abraham Washington Show. The show has now gone international. So now, I guess, international audiences can ignore the APPLAUSE sign too. Wow. Huh? That was just a wee bit harsh so let me just say this. The show is growing on me and Abe isn't as annoying as he was in the beginning. Good on ya, Abe! Loved the Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker reference.

The Ripper Paul Burchill was looking quite confident in the ring Tuesday night facing Goldust.  Just as things were in favor of Burchill taking the victory, The Hurricane flew past the ring creating a distraction giving Goldust the opportunity to make the Final Cut! Did The Hurribabe just add fuel to the fire? I think so. Just sayin'.

Love sick puppy Zack Ryder only has eyes for Rosa these days.  No matter what the locker room talent says, he still extended an open invitation to the extreme Diva to be in his corner anytime she fancied. With stars in his eyes, he skipped his way into the sunset with his lady love. But how real is this new budding romance anyway?

Vance Archer clobbered Sheffield's own, Jason Blackwell. Actually, it looked more like he threw him down a black well! He tossed him around like a Raggedy Andy doll! It certainly didn't take too long for Mr. Intense to establish his influence and control.

The highlight of the evening for me was the ECW Championship match between William Regal and Christian. You could cut the tension with a knife. I was glad to see it was a mixed crowd; some cheering for Regal, others for ChristianWas Scott Armstrong the referee? Man, that guy gets around when it comes to championship/high profile matches! Regal is on Orton's team at Survivor Series, as well as CM Punk. Wouldn't it be something if Armstrong maneuvered his way to referee THAT match as well? Makes you think. I'm a mischievous one seeing the cracks in the system and all.  Back to the present action, it was an exhaustive bout with Killswitches, a Regal Stretch and both men had to dig deep for the energy needed to finish the match. Christian retained but something tells me Regal won't just "move on" quietly, if at all.

Josh and Byron are doing a fantastic job. Nice work!

Cullen me crazy but this Twilight hype has me purchasing tix early!

    Once In A Blue Moon

Thursday, November 12, 2009, 11:50 AM EST [General]

Top of the news this week:

Jamie Noble has decided to retire. I wish him the best of luck. No further comment at this time as it may have an effect on my future here in the Universe.

For anyone who respects and loves wildlife as much as I do, November 15th is Steve Irwin Day at Australia Zoo. WWE's Edge will make a guest appearance and officially open Steve Irwin Day. If you have the means, log onto www. Australiazoo.com.au. I believe there will be a live stream the whole day. OR, Khaki it! Sport your best khaki's that day in support. It's not just a color. It's an attitude!

It's The Jeri-Show! (The Muppet Show theme song plays in the background) Starring: Ricky Hatton, Kelly Kelly, Melina, Alicia Fox, DX, John Cena, Legacy, Randy Orton, MVP, Mark Henry, Evan Bourne, Jack Swagger, The Miz and many more! An all new V.I.P. Lounge, commentary provided by the WWE Champion John Cena and the Unified Tag Team Champions show us their stuff! So don't turn the dial. They'll be plenty of laughs, drama and wrestling next!

Accomplished boxer Ricky Hatton kicked off Raw Monday night from Sheffield, England. I must say, I love the British accent and all things England. I'm a history buff and European history does it for me! I respect its culture, lifestyle and history. Jeri-Show has become quite the "opener". They are a team that bewitches, bothers and bewilders us yet they seem to get the job done in the end. I don't get it. But it works. You can always rely on DX to tell it like it is though. And hey! I like Mr. Bean!

Favorite Quote this week: "Her singing could give an aspirin a headache! -Jerry Lawler (when speaking about Jillian.)

Kelly Kelly started off her match against Alicia Fox with a lot of fire and drive. But in the end it was Foxy with a nasty scissor kick to the back of KK's head. That will definitely leave a mark not only on Kelly Kelly but Melina too, should Alicia get the chance! Melina's been doing her homework though. She's acquiring all the knowledge needed to defeat Alicia Fox.

A VERY brave English wrestler had to go one on one against the chalky white Celtic Warrior Sheamus. After the bulldozing commenced it was downhill for the British lad. Brave, brave soul...

Jack Swagger has a knack for accentuating his positive attributes while improving upon his negative ones. It's a true talent, really. He sprang into action against the always energetic and cutie pie Evan Bourne. I admire Bourne's fighting spirit among other things. He never lets himself give up and it's a good thing he didn't Monday night. The Miz provided a window of opportunity, as slight as it was, for Bourne to make his move. Swagger's winning streak promise is history.

I may have to physically strap myself down during the Kingston Team/Orton Team Elimination match at Survivor Series. The V.I.P. Lounge gave us a little insight, a little peek into the not so distant future. As a fan of Orton's (sorry to offend), Kofi declares he will not be bullied by Orton and Legacy. Okay, so Randy? Maybe bullying isn't for Kofi. However, there are still three course of action one can take to effectively make a statement. 1) Manipulation. 2) Persuasion, and my personal favorite 3) Extreme Coercion. I know. Where do I come up with this stuff? Well that's for me to know and you to find out. Melina is not the only one doing her homework.  Looking at the situation from the outside, Randy Orton has been handling this upset relatively calmly for Randy! However, it won't be the case for too long as the pressure is starting to gnaw at him from the inside and I can't control what the voices are going to tell him to do next. You can best believe it will be exciting and most all, well WORTH it!

Whoever is writing the DX/Cena material is bloody brilliant! Funny stuff. They all work well together. Too bad they have to destroy each other for the WWE Championship. It's almost a shame...ALMOST! Jericho's boisterous rantings during a match make me laugh so hard! DX won and glow sticks lit up the night sky in the U.K. The Big Show accidently knocked Jericho out. Uh-oh...

Are You Ready? For Rowdy Roddy Piper, that is! Jeah!!!!

    Khaki up!

    A Tangled Web He Weaves

Monday, November 9, 2009, 11:37 AM EST [General]

A big get well wish goes out to J.R. Hope you are back soon!

The Undertaker is not "just" anything. Chris Jericho, unfazed and defiant, strode to the ring-didn't enter the ring however (notice that?) and informed us he isn't afraid of the dark. He claimed he is considered a PHENOM also under the definition Webster's Dictionary offers. The Undertaker responded with a boot to Jericho's face. IS Chris the best in the world at what he does or will his fate, health and soul soon belong to The Undertaker? But don't forget about The Big Show. He's the gentleman who will do anything for his career remember?

The Hart Dynasty, so tempted to say Foundation, has purpose behind everything they do in that ring! Dolph Ziggler's purpose in the ring is to win the Intercontinental Championship and maybe ring JoMo's bell doing it! While Cryme Tyme and John Morrison always excite, perfection has never looked so good.

The Glamazon Beth Phoenix is looking stronger and fitter than ever.  She's steamrolling her way to the Women's Championship. But, Mickie James also wants it and Michelle McCool wants to retain it. All are equally impressive. You know the ladies are headed in the right direction is the biggest problem is which Diva is the more dominant.

Drew McIntyre had Jimmy Wang Yang doing the Boot Scootin Boogie this week! McIntyre established his presence and boundary lines before the bell even rang, then took a minute or two to tell us about it! How's that for time management? If Mr. McMahon claims Drew McIntyre to be the future World Heavyweight Champion, then why hasn't WHC material been presented in the form of competition for the young lad? Could it be that Mr. McMahon is a little tangled in his own web of deceit to accommodate Drew? Then again, what goes on behind closed doors stays there. But we can have fun trying to figure it all out, right? If it is REAL competition Mr. McIntyre so desperately seeks, then why doesn't he light a fire in the "darkness?"

Batista Batista Batista! Somebody is going to receive a big THANK YOU card for making The Animal's transformation possible! I've never seen Dave Batista so lethal in my whole life. Yes, very scary stuff but very mouth watering stuff! He's definitely more impressive "walking alone." It's as if Dave leaves and The Animal takes over. It's an actual expressive, emotional and physical transformation that takes place when he enters the building. However great that is, Rey said he too will show a side of him we've never seen before. Will Mysterio be able to squelch the 9 alarm fire burning inside The Animal? We'll soon find out. Matt Hardy, being a friend and just trying to provide words of wisdom from experience, was caught on The Animal's wild ride! Batista is healthy, strong, and gunning at full speed for the World Heavyweight Championship! Matt Hardy is a tough nut to crack though. He's a fighter and survivor and with DNA like that, it won't be too long before this Hardy makes a play for that "Holy Grail" too!

What's up? CM Punk vs. R-Truth and in a way, Scott Armstrong is what's up! I thought the power lines were going to go down. Between Punk with his lightening fast kicks and R-Truth with his thunderous clotheslines, the clash was so strong the air pressure changed and I was getting ready for the biggest storm on the planet! Scott Armstrong always finds himself in the middle of the perfect storm. Or, was he placed there on purpose? No one really knows. However, I believe all will be revealed soon. Punk did execute a beautiful modified bow and arrow hold and demanded a faster count be made. Ask and you shall receive. Armstrong's hand was probably burning at the speed he counted Truth's win at! I think there is a HUGE conspiracy going on revolving around SmackDown like a tornado! And chances are a certain Vincent Kennedy McMahon is the all seeing eye, as it were.

     AND...

    • 1) Perhaps one day soon our Straightedge Superstar of today will collide head on with the Edge of tomorrow!
    • 2) Although Batista may be walking alone, one has to wonder if someone is clearing a path for him, let's say someone with a certain Flair for the dramatics?

No rest for the wicked and ALWAYS play with their minds,

    Stepping Out

Friday, November 6, 2009, 09:43 AM EST [General]

Ever wish you could change the outcome of a dream? I'm sure many of us have tried. All we need is just one chance: that one chance to make him or her see how great we really are or how far we'll go to get the girl or guy in the end. But what I'm talking about taking just one step to get out there; to get noticed. Come out from behind the tree and be seen by the world. No matter how big or how small, important or insignificant we see ourselves, getting out there is always a risk. Let me ask you something else. Have you ever dreamt you were falling from a cliff and you're streaming down, plunging to your death to the jagged rocks below and there's absolutely, positively no way out? Pff.  Afraid much? Not anymore. I envision coming to an abrupt halt. I hover over the situation and think, my dream does not control me. I control it. If you've got a dream to be someone, to go somewhere, to do something, take control of it and seize the moment. Why do you think you got that dream in the first place? We all have the capability. We all have the same desire within to succeed beyond our wildest...hey, what do you know, dreams!

So, you are now all witnesses to me seizing my dream. The mountain may be huge. It may be high and it may be more than what I can handle...for now. But it will be mine someday. And when it is, I'll move it. Trust that.

I liked ECW this week. Christian was a snarling man on a mission to stop William Regal from coming out week after week wreaking havoc on the roster to get what he wants. Regal's temper tantrum last week was surely noticed, that's for sure. General Manager Tiffany apologized to Christian for her role in Regal's reign of terror as of late. But Christian wants it over with once and for all. The terms are now set and the current ECW Champion will face the brood of England IN England. Regal has the homefield advantage but will it be the British peeps filling the stadium? I wonder how far these two men will go to hold onto their dream.

Goldust had a great opportunity to weaken William Regal's confidence Tuesday night. Goldust is quickly becoming a crowd favorite again and I love that. It's refreshing. He comes from a very successful wrestling family and his DNA may be gold in more ways than one! Regal, however, romped his way to victory with a vicious knee to Goldust's head.

Ryder? Smitten with Rosa? Zack Ryder makes me smile. He's really got something. That something is unique, weird, unconventional, unidentified and completely out there but definitely special...in a great way. I was happy to see Rosa exploring the world of announcing. I'm on your side girl! Yes! Of course, Rosa's charms distracted Zack Ryder during his match with Shelton Benjamin. Shelton hit Paydirt and racked up another win.

The biggest news of the broadcast was Paul Burchill putting his and Katie's career on the line in a match with The Hurricane. If Burchill wins, Hurricane has to expose himself.  Hahahaha, wait a minute...expose his face! And if Hurribabe wins, the Burchills move on to face other opponents elsewhere. Will ECW be rid of the Burchills or will the Burchills be rid of ECW? Maybe a little of both but (and this is just me) RAW looks like nice new stomping grounds (wink).

Oddly enough, I'm warming up to Abraham Washington.

My ECW blogs is getting longer. That's what I like to see team!

The intensity of Vance Archer comes from the power of his piercing eyes and overhanging forehead. That and the fact that he's massive and never even broke a sweat putting poor Logan Jones through the mat! I foresee good things for this one. Someone probably said the same thing about Darth Vader at one point, but still. Archer is a not-so-secret weapon now.

Christian and Yoshi teamed up to take on Kozlov and Jackson. Yoshi endured the horrible punishment Jackson inflicted. Jackson's clotheslines almost behead his opponents. Kozlov and Jackson most certainly have the weight advantage but Christian and Yoshi have the speed and agility. The Champ engaged the Killswitch and got the win. However, a severe beating was dished out by the losing team.

    Reach a new height.

    Oh, and YOU GO ECW!

    On the Horizon

Friday, October 30, 2009, 09:57 AM EST [General]

General Manager Tiffany was this week's guest on The Abraham Washington Show. Tiffany eloquently answered Washington's questions on the impact ECW had at Bragging Rights, Sheamus's relocation to RAW and her healing arm. Regal, still charging at walls, implored Tiffany for another ECW Championship match. Tiffany boldly denied the royal one yet again. All of this rejection has made William Regal a loose cannon and he took his frustrations out on the furniture. Tiffany still stands firm on her decision. Should she decide to give William Regal a title match, it will be on her terms not imposed upon by William Regal. While it is great she stands up for herself and asserts her power, Regal could find other ways of applying pressure to this GM!

Anyone who thinks Shelton Benjamin is mediocre needs his or her eyes checked. I have always been a fan of this natural athlete and, in my opinion, next ECW Champion. So, it is no secret that I was hugely disappointed that Sheamus got his last win over Shelton Tuesday night. The future is so alive and bright for Benjamin and it's high time he start to go after the goods! I do wonder though how The All American American Jack Swagger will receive The Celtic Warrior. Hope Hornswoggle doesn't mock the rogue redhead!

The battle was sensational between ECW Champion Christian and Yoshi Tatsu! Yoshi's resiliency and drive was perhaps more than what Christian was expecting. That's a good thing. It'll keep Christian on his toes and give Yoshi more confidence going into the next battle these two have. Yes, there will be more, maybe several. Christian came through in the end but was quickly pulverized by the Royal Regime.

I admire Tiffany's vision of inviting new talent in and giving them a chance to succeed; develop, develop, develop. The talent is there and while some more might be good, a minute of unattended talent is a terrible thing to waste.  Already, Jericho has had a watchful eye over the vulnerable newcomers. "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime."
