The 2009 Royal Rumble from Detroit, MI! Vol. Two

Sunday, February 1, 2009, 01:16 AM EST [General]

The following is continued from Vol. One...

Now it was onto the Royal Rumble match, the whole reason for the PPV of course and the one match that finally captured my attention other than the two previoud title matches. But this time I was truly focused.

My dream pick to win the Rumble match would have been John Morrison, but that would've taken a miracle for that to happen as Trips had to thow both him and Miz out. Congrats to JoMo though for lasting as long as he did in the match though. I thought Undertaker would've tossed his as* ouuta there for sure long before HHH did. Now with only one of my favs left in the match (Randy Orton), I was pulling for Ortonmania to run wild and take home that number one contender's spot for a title shot at Mania. I must say though, had it not been for Cody and Ted distracting HHH in the end, I don't think Randy would've had the awesome oppourtunity he had to toss HHH over that he did. Thanks to the Legacy for helping RKO out on this one, but we all know that they're gonna want something in return in the near future for being Randy's bit**es all this time.

Random Rumble notes: Only Santino could be the perfect fit to break the record of least amount of time in The Royal Rumble match HaHa. 1 second in and then right back to the locker room. Thanks for coming HaHa.

Also on the note of coming and going, I don't get it why people spend so much money for a ticket and then spend half the night in the nacho line! That's just rediculous. A true WWE fan such as myself never leaves his seat unless I absolutley need to hit the bathroom. And another thing is, what is it with people showing up late? Then, as it was not even halfway into the Rumble match, I saw a whole freakin' row to the left in fornt of me leave! Good lord, they left during the match that was not only the most important of the night, but the reason why the ppv was happening in the first place! I just don't get some of the so called fans that show up to these events. The freakin' fool in front of me left though and I could've cared less about that because he take his little John Cena sign, DX shirt, and get this, Cena jacket HaHa, and shove it for all I care HaHa!

It's a good thing I decided to get my "Age Of Orton" shirt when I did. Normally I get stuff right away when I walk in, but I went to my seat first (The very last row at the top of the arena HaHa, I've officially sat everywhere now), then I went to the WWE Shop stand. I get up there for my turn, and the last Orton shirt is sold. How about that for whack, fortunately I got the one on the display hanger. Close call there. And if I'd had waited 'till the end, there were no more period, everyone elses shirt was left but his. It goes to show you who the best there is today really is.

Another thing that comes to mind is when people think that thier sign is gonna get on tv when they're in the upper level, not to mention 2nd to last row. Sorry folks not gonna happen, so put your signs down as the camera men only look for lower level signs while the wrestlers walk out and after they win/lose. And especially don't be holding 'em up during the match, good lord HaHa. But, it's all a part of the experience I guess, having to deal with the stupid fans in front of me HaHa.

Also on the sign subject, I brought a sign I made 5 years ago back into action, as I thought it was worth a shot because in 2004, it got me on SmackDown, and in 2005 it got me on tv for Survivor Series because it was just that dam* good HaHa. Even though I like JBL, it is a sign with a nice little phrase going against him. So just before his match with Cena, I went down the steps to the lower level in an attempt to get on WWE tv for a third time with the same sign. I went down too soon unfortunately and was told by the usher I couldn't and had to go back to my seat even though I explained the histroy of my JBL sign. Whatever, in the words of Carlito, "I spit in the face of peopl who don't want to be cool, " and the usher definately wasn't cool.

So, that's about it. It was great to return back to the Joe after a 3.5 year hiatus and see Ortonmania run wild during the Rumble match and now go onto WrestleMania 25. It was a good time all round and I look forward to the next WWE event that I attend.

The 2009 Royal Rumble from Detroit, MI! Vol. One

Monday, January 26, 2009, 01:27 AM EST [General]

Having just returned home from The Rumble not too long ago, I thought I'd share and get some of my thoughts down about the experience and results while they're fresh on my mind.

Arriving at the Joe: It brought back many memories of attending various WWE events at the Joe the past eight years when I arrived at the steps of the building. But a new memory will forever be etched in my mind and that is all of us fans having to wait outside in the ice cold temperature. Seriously, why do they have to make us wait out there so long? Let us get in, buy whatever merch. we want and get to our seats.

The pre-match: Jimmy Wang Yang Vs. Paul Burchill. Normally I wouldn't have given a cra* for the match, but it was enough to get me pumped for the Rumble which was starting momentarily. Jimmy Wang Wang won the match, but I just don't get how a sold out crowd loves that fool so much.

The Royal Rumble: Congrats to Jack Swagger on retaining the ECW title. Not much to talk about that one really. Also, congrats are in order for Melina too. Not much of a Beth fan myself. John Cena Vs. JBL... man I hate it when Cena retains the title. I knew he would, but I was seriously hoping that even though HBK super-kicked both competitors, that Cena recieving it after JBL would still be feeling the effects of it and JBL would win.

Jeff Hardy Vs. Edge... Excuse Me! HaHa, gotta love Vickie, and especially since she made it a no DQ match. My thoughts are though, why does the ring exist if they spend so much time fighting on the outside all the time? Who knows, anyway. It's always awesome when Jeff gets a ladder out. Jeff Hardy can/will always make a match exciting, and he definately got me into this one. While I anticipated the rumored Christian return, I all of a sudden said out loud as I saw Matt Hardy with the chair, "What if Matt turns on Jeff?!... and sure enough as soon as I said it he did! Next thing you know, Edge is the new champ!

Next was the Royal Rumble match which will be written about in Vol. Two of my Royal Rumble 2009 blog shortly. So stay tuned!

Random thoughts: JoMo, RKO, Cena, etc 12/15/2008

The following is an nWo Black & White attack by nWoHollywood...

Hello to all from the keyboard as I have finally returned with a fresh blog after a short hiatus. But let me be the first to say that nWoHollywood is finally back jack and better than ever with some fresh thoughts about what is going on in the WWE world right now. So here's what I think as of this moment.

JoMo is finally back on top again! Congrats to both "The Shaman Of Sexy" and the Miz on not only two slammies, but winning the World Tag Team titles and reclaiming thier spot at the top of the WWE tag-team division once again proving why they are not only better than DX HaHa, but why they are the best tag duo of the 21st century. All the rest can just... Be Jealous! Randy Orton though, he's still kinda floundering at the bottom don't you think? I mean here he was the champ for aprrox 75% of the year, gets injured, and it seems that he hasn't done a thing since he's returned.

Boy do I long for days of WWE long ago. Still missin' the Naitch myself. Now there's a true champ. Wooooooo! HaHa. Now Jeff is champ? Don't get me wrong he's on my fav list, but not as a champion of that level. I'd rather see Edge still as champ. That was definately a short reign for him. Speaking of champions, something is definately messed up in the booking office. I mean, seriously, Cena comes back, and in his first return match he wins the World title... now that's whack HaHa. But oh well, things move on as they always do in WWE.

That's about it for now from this nWoHulkster. So until next time take care, best wishes, and keep on rockin'. Peace - nWoHollywood

    Unforgiven 2008 random thoughts

Monday, September 8, 2008, 01:06 AM EST [General]

The following is an nWo black and white attack by nWoHollywood: Well in my ten years of being a wrestling fan, and with my history of Unforgiven PPVs... this was definately not the greatest of Unforgiven PPVs, but it wasn't all that bad either in the sense that CM Junk is no longer the World Champion! It's true, Jericho was here to save us, and save us he did from a terrible champ. I mean seriously, Punk didn't even win that title in a hard fought match the way greats like Hogan and Flair did! All of that aside, let's move on shall we? Undertaker and Big Show's brawl? Are you kidding me, it was pointless and just a waste of time to me because there was no build-up behind it and since it definately was not as "shocking" as it was made out to be. Divas title match - I can't complain, you gotta love the eye candy that are the WWE Divas, however, they still can't wrestle all too geat compared to some champs of the past. Cody/Dibiase Vs Cryme Tyme - Congrats to the tag champs Rhodes/Ted not only for retaining, but for alligning themselves with RKO and taking out Punk backstage. They're geniuses, not to mention the fact that they're priceless! Cryme Tyme are rediculous anyway. ECW scramble - No comment because I would have preferred John Morrison in the match and winning the ECW title. But, maybe JoMo will beat M Hardy for the title, because as Matt said on the first live Dirt Sheet, he's never been #1 at anything. LOL. SD scramble - Seriously, as if it wasn't obvious Trips was going to win. He was in that match against a bunch of no good second rate wrestlers who will probably never be the World Champion anyway! HBK Vs Jericho - Well, could you not see HBK winning this one either? Well, those are just a few of the thoughts on mind mind as I type this, but if I've missed anything, it couldn't have been too important to include in this blog. So until next time, take care, best wishes, and if you know how to rock...
