Now before I start this blog, the Gorgeous George I am talking about is not the big boob Blonde that dated and ran with Savage in WCW.
This Gorgeous George is a male wrestler from the late 40's to 50's. This Gorgeous George was probably wrestling's very first superstar. He influenced early pop culture. He influenced Bob Dylan. He was a big influence on a boxe who went on to become the greatest ever and no I'm not talking about Maywheather, but Muhammad Ali. He even influenced the late James Brown. He was Flamboyant before Superstar Billy Graham made it so.
He was the man you loved to hate as he told people he was the most gorgeous man on the face of the Earth. He might be one of the greatest heal's ever.
Before, Classie Freddie Blassie became famous on TV George was top superstar.
He even had people where his pins, and say his pledge. He wore fancy ropes years before Ric Flair did.
We talked about men like Hogan, McMahon, Graham, Flair, Austin, influencing not just wrestling but pop culture. Gorgeous George did that way before them.
Stars in the Hall of Fame are guys that left their mark on the business and changing it.
Well it is time for Gorgeous George to take his place next to all the stars.
If you don't believe me, then go get the book Gorgeous George by John Capouya. It is a great read.

He absolutely desrves a place in the HOF, he was the first man to develop a character, if there was no Gorgeous George there may not have been the Undertaker or Goldust or so many other classic characters that have truly made wrestling a global form of sports-entertainment.
