    writing a new resume...

Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 12:27 AM EST [General]

So, I figured that after summerslam and after tonight's ecw championship match I'd start working on a new resume to submit to WWE for a writing position. I truly think I have what it takes to be a wwe writer. I figured that if they don't really see any pizzazz in my resume on its own, then I'd send in my story ideas and then I'd definitely be on the inside track to becoming a wwe writer.

My first pitch is to write any storyline where Matt Hardy loses any major singles championship match! First, I'll make sure I effectively tease everyone, especially his fans, into thinking that after all of his hard work and years of dedication it will actually pay off and he'll not only get a major shot..he'll actually win. But, of course he won't..he'll actually lose both attempts almost back to back and if he loses in as little time as possible the better. Also, if I write that he loses to an opponent that has far less wrestling capability than he does that should really put me in the writers chair. Perhaps the creative team and myself could make his next match even shorter than summerslam..how bout, he comes out, falls in the ring, and henry just covers him up..that should take about 10 sec. and hey, he'll lose again and that will make the creative team  so happy they may make me the head writer. I think I might be able to improve on the ecw match as well, eventhough I'm not sure it was much longer than summeslam as right in the middle there was about 4 min. worth of commercials..so, time wise it could have turned out to be almost the same.

My second pitch will definitely get me in if the first one doesn't work. For this one I figure I put Jeff Hardy up against any opponent and he just flat out loses everytime..it really doesn't matter who he's up against as long as he just loses..oh of course, i'll build up some kind of rivalry and again tease all of his fans into making them think that he has a chance at winning something sometime, but that just won't be the case..cause well we can't have him actually win anything due to that whole suspension thing..when was that now?? Oh yeah, like 5 months ago..it was so long I almost forgot. Here's the clincher storyline for jeff this friday night..he goes up against the turnbuckle and of course the turnbuckle wins..now if that doesn't get me a wwe writers position I don't know what will!

So, let me know if you think I have a shot at the writing job. I think I'm well on my way.

excuse me while i rant a minute..

Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 12:02 AM EST [General]

Ok, so this is not the next blog I planned to write, but I coudln't help myself as I really need to get this off my chest.

I'm really quite annoyed with Sunday night's summerslam. While I found most of it entertaining and enjoyable to watch I didn't care for the way the wwe or the writer's or whomever decided the hardy's matches. I don't care if the Hardy's were ok with it and they knew the script and it is just leading to something more..blah, blah, blah! I'm not unintelligent and I know all of these things, but it does't stop me from feeling like I, as a major Hardy fan, got a little ripped off.

First, the build up for the mvp/jeff match has been going on for a few weeks now and jeff has been interfered with in every match by mvp for those last weeks. He's lost every single one, and most fans were really looking forward to a win by him..finally...and what are we treated to?? Another interference by Benjamin??? wtf??? Ok, I'm all about him paying his dues, but enough already. THE MAN HAS PAID HIS DUES AND IT IS TIME TO GIVE HIM SOMETHING! He could at least get a win. Has he even won one match since he's been back from his suspension??? It is really quite ridiculous now as it seems to me that he is having to really over pay for his mistake. There have been plenty of others who have been suspended and none of them have had to pay quite to the extent that Jeff is having to pay. Mind you this is my opinion, but truly it seems like overkill to me.

second, that god awful ecw championship match! That one really pissed me off to no end! I can't even put into words how livid I was to see a 30 sec. match and then lead into a 1 min. 30 dibacle...and yes, i did time it, thank you very much! That was a championship match and they give it 30 seconds??? How freakin lame is that??? Yes, i wanted hardy to win, but geesh i would have liked to see him wrestle...i'm thinking that they had to write it that way because they knew mark henry couldn't last more than 30 seconds? I mean the man has no skills, and matt has many, so i guess they had to do something to save it?? I honestly don't know. He wins by dq and of course he doesn't get the belt. Oh of course, why should the wwe award him a major singles championship..it is not like he's earned it or anything..he's only been there since oh, i don't know like 1996? and before that he was a jobber for them. I don't understand?? No one can tell me that he doesn't deserve a major singles championship. If you are a fan of wrestling there is no way you can say he doesn't have wrestling skills and that he doesn't deserve it. Why does he keep getting screwed out of it?? I'm apalled and aghast that he didn't win the championship.

I know that somehow somewhere this is all going to lead to a positive story line for the Hardy's, but honestly I didn't pay 39.99 to watch them get screwed over yet again. Thank God for the HIC match...and as I plot my revenge on the wwe writers and bosses who think that those two hardy matches were quality entertainment vince better have something in his pocket for those boys or i will be forced to go beeach slap him silly!

    The Devoted Fan Facts

Saturday, August 2, 2008, 07:06 PM EST [General]

Ok, so as this is my first blog, before going into my topic, I will be posting a blog once a week, biweekly, every couple of days or lets face it whenever I truly feel the urge. If you don't wish to read that is fine you don't have to, but if you do I'm sure you will find my blogs interesting and perhaps have similar feelings as myselff and may want to comment as such. That being said..on to topic of....the devoted fan facts.

Before i start ranting and raving about the devoted fan let's get a clear understanding of what devoted or devotion means, shall we? Let's shall...according to webster's online, devotion means and I paraphrase rather than directly quote here, the act of being ardently dedicated or loyal. Thus, let us delve into the devoted fan...and I'm not necessarily talking about just the devoted wwe fan here..let's just say the devoted (wrestling) fan.

    The devoted fan...

never misses a wrestling event that they truly like whether it be on television or in person, if they can't watch it they tivo it, tape it, or threaten the life of anyone hogging the tv so they can watch it at some point.

dedicate their entire lives and spending accounts to collecting memorbilia of whomever their chosen wrestler/s may be and don't care if they don't have money for food the next day or charge up their credit card to max. capacity because "hey, we're all going to die someday anyway..might as well die with debt."

sticks by their wrestler/s of choice no matter what..even if they turn heel..even if they get suspended...even if they are seen wearing a barney t-shirt..it makes no difference because they are our chosen wrestler/s and we love them, dammit!

loves the heels as much as the faces because without them the faces would be boring and if your wrestler/s is already a heel then the feeling is vice versa or versa vice..whatever!

will stand in line 2 weeks for a major pay per view event no matter what the weather, no matter how much time they miss from work, just to get nose bleed tickets if that is all that is available once they finally get up to the box office since 20,000 other devoted fans had the same idea.

usually loves all wrestling even if it is their own children beating the **** out of each other...sometimes they will even instigate this if their children have been behaving particularly bad that day...

doesn't care if anyone else thinks that wrestling is dumb or silly because those morons don't know what they are missing anyway.

screams at their television set even though they know the matches are scripted and quite possibly have read all the spoilers...it doesn't matter..its wrestling and you are supposed to scream if you want to..that is the point.

owns several wrestling dvds and would play them on a constant loop if they truly were able to do so.

has bookmarked many of their favorite youtube wrestling matches on their computer at home, at work, and even on their ipod touch or iphone (if they are lucky enough to have one) and will watch such videos over and over and over again, then look for new ones to add.

has very strong feelings for their chosen wrestler/s, and will argue to the point of blacking out over them, but are willingly able to appreciate others opinions...as long as they aren't against their chosen one.

finally, will eat, sleep, and die watching wrestling...won't be here today and gone tomorrow,..won't be a fair weather fan..or think that wrestling is a flash in the pan..ever...

if you have any devoted fan facts of  your own..i'd love to read them...take care and enjoy...liz
