Happy DXMAS everyone and wwe gave the troops some great presents.
First to raw Women's Champion Beth Phoenix may have beaten out fellow nominee Kelly Kelly for Diva of the Year honors during last week's Slammy Awards, but tonight proved much more of a winner for the quick-learning Diva. Teaming up with Melina, Kelly Kelly avenged herself in a tag team match against The Glamazon & Jillian Hall. The spunky Diva, however, had little time to celebrate. After the match, a maniacal-looking Kane chased off Kelly Kelly's adversaries and then proceeded to corner the nervous Diva, eventually stalking her out of the ring and up the entrance ramp avery strange man!!! The strange drama between Kane and Kelly Kelly continues to unfold. The Big Red Monster appeared to have the young Diva trapped in a squalid room as he sat across from her and confessed that he felt a romantic chemistry between the two last week when they presented the Slammy Award for Couple of the Year. When Kelly Kelly tried to end the uncomfortable encounter, Kane became enraged, preventing the Diva from leaving.
After suffering a humiliating loss to Batista at Armageddon, Randy Orton challenged The Animal to a rematch. When confronted by Batista, however, Orton instead slapped his rival and scurried off. Unfortunately for Batista, the whole ploy proved to be a trap. As he tracked down his nimble nemesis, Batista was jumped by Rhodes and Manu. As all three men bombarded The Animal, John Cena, who suffered a similar fate two weeks prior, charged into the fray and unleashed fury, freeing Batista and sending the trio scurrying for an exit.
Defending their newly acquired waist wear, World Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison defeated former champions CM Punk & Kofi Kingston. The punishment didn't stop there, though. Just minutes before, a crazed Kane had intimidated Kelly Kelly into confessing the identity of her secret Superstar love. The encounter left the Diva a nervous wreck as she begged the Big Red Monster not to hurt her paramour. Is the Miz and Kelly Kelly dating? And what about the so called sharmen of sexy who ran in a flash loser!!!
Randy Orton was determined to make a statement. In a 2-on-3 Handicap Match, in which he teamed with Cody Rhodes & Manu against Batista & World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, he made his statement loud and clear. As Cena tangled with Rhodes and Manu outside the ring, Orton took aim at a dazed Batista as if he were sizing up a Super Bowl-winning field goal. Then, in a matter of seconds, the Legend Killer punted Batista in the head, dropping The Animal into a lifeless puddle. Nice kick Randy but you are a bigger loser than morrsion!!!!
On ECW Chavo Guerrero got more than he bargained for when he followed orders from SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero to "take care" of ECW Champion Matt Hardy on ECW.ECW Champion Matt Hardy kicked off ECW by congratulating his brother and new WWE Champion Jeff Hardy. However, Chavo interrupted claiming Matt helped Jeff steal the WWE Championship from Edge. But before more verbal barbs could be thrown at Hardy, ECW General Manager Theodore Long entered the arena to inform Chavo that the two would square off right then and there in a title match. In the end, Chavo couldn't back up his words as the champion silenced the self-proclaimed "Mexican Warrior" with a Twist of Fate, successfully defending his title. ooooh Chavo sucks!!!!
Fresh off a victory over Mark Henry in a Belfast Brawl at Armageddon, Finlay continued his winning ways by defeating Gavin Spears with a Celtic Cross. And just like at Armageddon, Finlay's good luck charm proved to be his son, Hornswoggle, who was at ringside. The pint-sized prankster was up to his old tricks, splashing water on ECW announcer Matt Striker at the start of the match, and stealing Striker's "Announce Team of the Year" Slammy from the announce table run Horny thank god Matt is not my teacher!!!!
On smackdown In a match that featured a noticeable lack of teamwork between MVP and Benjamin, the Ballin' Superstar accidentally kicked his partner before R-Truth took out the Franchise Playa' with the devastating corkscrew elbow. Hurricane Helms then drilled the Gold Standard into the canvas to grab the win. Can Helms reign supreme next week when he challenges United States Champion Shelton Benjamin for his title? yes he will!!!
In the culmination of an exhausting match, Edge hurled the ECW Champion between the turnbuckles and into the unforgiving steel ring post, allowing the Rated-R Superstar to execute the spear and grab the hard fought three-count. Can he get over it your not the wwe champion!!!!
New WWE Champion Jeff Hardy served notice to the WWE Universe that things were about to change in favor of the "rejects and screw-ups." When Edge interrupted and attempted to belittle the champion - while once again denying his involvement in Hardy's Survivor Series weekend attack - Hardy answered back with a resounding Twist of Fate.
Later, after hitting the Whisper in the Wind on the unpinned Kozlov, the Ultimate Opportunist interceded again - causing the disqualification as he and the Moscow Mauler attacked Hardy. This drew the ire of Triple H, who provided an effective equalizer, unleashing his wrath on both aggressors. After Hardy hit a post-match Swanton Bomb on Edge, he exchanged a telling stare with The Game, making it clear that The King of Kings will also be gunning for the gold. Go Triple H watch the match on wwe.com the king of kings grabbed his little friend and koslov started running!!!!
And now to tribute to the troops The troops crowded the ring for a sensational Six-Man Tag Match pitting the trio of new WWE Champion Jeff Hardy, CM Punk & R-Truth against JBL and World Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison. After pulling up in a chauffeured Hum-vee, the millionaire investor nearly led his team to victory several times. Hardy, Punk & Truth, however, each brought gifts to the ring: Spirit, determination and charisma. The three wise men managed to leverage their talents and, in the end, the WWE Champion overcame the Longhorn Loudmouth, pinning JBL and securing the win for his team.
The day's main event treated the troops to a Six-Man Tag Match, pitting World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, Batista & Rey Mysterio against Randy Orton, Chris Jericho & Big Show.
While Rey sported the red, white and blue of Ol' Glory, the aerial artist appeared to only be flying at half-staff after all three of his team's opponents got their hands on him. Soldiering on, the Master of the 619 never appeared to give up. He battled until Jericho found himself in an altercation with his teammate Big Show. Before long, The World's Largest Athlete had pummeled both Jericho and Orton and stormed off in a huff. Rey's teammates Batista and Cena wisely took advantage, administering a Batista Bomb and FU to their opponents to claim victory for their team.
Thats all for DX NEWS HAPPY DXMAS!!!!!
