It has been a while since Teddy Long(then General Manager of ECW) set in place "the Superstar Initiative". This idea brought many hopefuls to the ring; some worked out while others did not. Here is a sampling of the progress of the Superstar Initiative( in its various forms):
1. Ricky Ortiz- The rally towel was his calling card. He was quick and moved well in the ring, but is not on WWE tv as of this entry.
2.Tyler Reks- Surfer personality with a solid offensive skill that caught early opponents off guard...has his own WWE webshow that gives him a chance to voice his opinion.
3.Sheamus-This Irishman asserts his strength and power on his opponents...Not afraid to tell the fans his opinions on those that stand in his way...Now on Raw after expressing discontent.
4.Drew McIntryre-Signed personally by Vince McMahon...Took initiative by attacking R-Truth...Smackdown's newest star that shows signs of longevity.
5.Eric Escobar-Smackdown star signed by Vince McMahon in October...Managed by Vicki Guerrero...Has a power and speed offense...will do well in the long run if he has Vicki Guerrero in his corner.
6.Kofi Kingston-Strong fan favorite on Raw...His speed is a powerful tool...Former U.S. champion.
