    OVER vs OVER-RATED

Thursday, September 11, 2008, 08:45 PM EST [General]

Matt Hardy. Newest edition to Over-rated list.

Another achievement to really put him well and truely in the race.

My God, I just got up to make a coffee and realised what  complete fools we all are. Here on Fan Nation in the Forums are the Threads dedicated to all those Wrestlers who are OVER-RATED. So I got to thinking and decided WWE must be falling down somewhere in their judgement of the Fans because they themselves will claim how much OVER a wrestler is with the Fans, un-beknown to them they are incorrectly interpreting the reaction and assuming OVER with the fans means OVER, when in fact in actually means OVER-RATED, or at least it seems to when you look at how many threads are created in this forum regarding that exact topic. All of the fans that use this site have now been dutifully informed of the correct definition of OVER and so anyone in the future who accomplishes a goal or wins a belt or title or match that is viewed as an achievement and worthy of praise and fan support will now be viewed as OVER-RATED and therefore beneath everyone else. And I am sorry to inform you all that at this point in time Jeff Hardy is on top of the leader board closely followed by John Cena I think and perhaps Batista is a close third, next comes CM Punk, followed by Randy of all people and a new addition as of Sunday, MATT HARDY. Well done to all of them.

And my avatar on my Email address reads

I SPEAK SARCASM AS A SECOND LANGUAGE.

Thanks for reading my vent and hope you all enjoy yourselfs, now get out there and start creating.

    DYNAMITE KID

Tuesday, September 9, 2008, 08:46 PM EST [General]

I cannot let this opportunity pass given that I've just seen a Thread on the Raw Forum about Dynamite Kid. My blood boils when I witness so much blatant ignorance and denial over some peoples views on a wrestler they've done no research into but seem to follow the masses just because it looks Right. Why is it that Chris Benoit can be shunned by the masses and personalised by his last actions yet others remain Legends of their time regardless of their behaviour and actions towards others. Just because he didn't "Murder" anyone doesn't mean he wasn't just as big a bastard as some think Benoit was. On a side note here, who do you all think Chris learnt from, Dynamite Kid. Chris was considered BETTER than Dynamite Kid in terms of wrestling ability long before he (Chris) came to WWE. Here is the history of Dynamite Kid for all those out there who think this past wrestler deserves praise and accolades but Chris doesn't.

Tom Billington (Dynamite Kid) was a small man, very indignant about this fact and vowed to avenge this fact upon the world. He was raised to value toughness and tormented to the point of INSANITY by his insecurities. He compensated by terrorizing everyone he met until they all knew he was a hard, heartless Bastard, a terminal menace to absolutely everyone. He wanted to be the toughest real fighter on the streets and the best fake fighter in the wrestling ring. He was born into a family whose trade was violence, his grandfather being psychotic and a legendary bare knuckles fighter himself. The family bred sociopaths and from birth Tom was ridiculed and beaten when he showed weakness. He started wrestling at age 13 and by age 14 was training 6 days a week, which included torture by adult martial artists. At age 16 he turned Professional as the Dynamite Kid. He behaved as though brainwashed, was uncomfortable with normal social interactions, was suspicious of everyone and paranoid. When Dynamite was invited to join Stampede (Hart Foundation company) he was fresh meat for them, as Chris would later be, and suffered again at the hands of the Hart Brothers as would Chris. To compensate for this treatment he began his own forms of torture which included things like poisoning coffee with enormous doses of laxatives, destroying all clothing and drugging and abusing unconscious co-workers.Apparently his most Infamous "Prank" was to put lighter fluid in the toilet bowl of a manager who smoked while using the bathroom which led to an explosion that burnt the man in the lower regions of his body. When a wrestler "Bladed" during a match he would run up and kick his hand driving the blade directly into the skull. Instead of reprimanding Dynamite, the Hart family indulged his sadistic behaviour. He was viewed by them as a violent sociopath but anyone who couldn't accept his behaviour was mocked and ostracized for being weak. He was immune from punishment, because he was the best wrestler in Calgary. Dynamite Kids greatness as a wrestler was mirrored by his despicability as a human being. He was arrested for assaulting adolescent fans twice along with his Cousin Davey Boy Smith while touring with New Japan. This was the only time he was ever punished for his actions. Steroids played a transformative roll in his career, without steroids he would never have been given the chance in New Japan. With his doped-up physique he got a higher paying job in All Japan Wrestling and soon after in WWE as one half of the British Bullogs tag team with with an even more jacked up Davey Boy Smith. Steroids in combination with alcohol abuse and amphetamine abuse evaporated what little self control he had, and that was very little to begin with. Steroid abuse is only one of the manifestations for the cause of his decline, insecurity over being a small man, failure was unacceptable to him and being psychologically fragile he was prepared to do anything to succeed. He was the one who set the Precedent in the WWE that a small man could make it with them if he was willing to literally cripple himself by taking greater risks and punishment in the ring that his competition, jack his body up on life threatening steroids and consume absolutely whatever drug was necessary to allow himself to work every show no matter how injured. His lifestyle would cause physical and pschological degeneration that transformed a once millionare WWE celebrity into a wheelchair bound cripple living on the dole in public housing and ranting about ****s and his brainwashed children, all before the age of 40. This was the man Chris chose to follow, the man he Idolised. This failure of a man provided Chris with a tutorial on how a small man can become a star in the wrestling business at the cost of his health, sanity and family.

So apparently this is the wrestler, the man, who should be idolised by the fans and recognised for his great wrestling ability but Chris Benoit shouldn't?

I really don't understand the fans sometimes.

    Unforgetable moment

Monday, September 8, 2008, 02:14 AM EST [General]

To Business, In no particular order of event

ECW scramble match best of the scramble matches as far as actual wrestling. Yeah for Matt.                                    Mark Who?

Nice to see Chris Jericho rewarded for that punishment he put himself through with Shawn earlier. In my opinion the use of the belt shouldn't have been allowed as a weapon in the first place, it reeked too much of corporal punishment and I felt it's use crossed the line. I don't have a problem with using weapons and I know a belt has been used before, I just saw this particular use way over the top and not necessary to achieve the result. Obviously Shawn won this after the match was stopped, only word I use to describe this match is brutal. In defense of Shawn he did manage to look somewhat mortified by his behaviour but not actually remorseful. Doesn't matter, still like the both of them. I am pleased Chris has something to show for his personal sacrifice tonight, putting your body on the line to take that sort of punishment does need to be recognised and rewarded on occassions. My opinion only of course.

Smackdown scramble was fairly much predictable, Triple H retains, Yawn, what's new, Yeah Yeah, and so on and so forth. At least at the end he and Jeff shook hands, Trips extending his first and acknowledging Jeff did good. I guess we need to be patient and wait a little longer for Jeffs time. On the other hand, OH MY GOD could that entrance of The Brian Kendrick been any more GAYER (not an actual word I know), I think he outdid himself on this one, and all the blowing kisses, puke, vomit, hurl, chuck, throw up, take your pick, just NO, Just GAY.

Diva match, whatever, Toilet Break. Michelle retained. That's okay with me, I happen to like her.

Tag Team, Have no interest in those really. It wasn't bad as far as a match goes, fairly predictable with the ref. distractions and cheating by Simply Useless who obviously won. Randys' backroom segments were either classic or amusing or entertaining. More groundwork established for the new Stable with Useless and Randy and some other dude. Looking foward to Randy coming back though.

Big Shows Heel turn somewhat surprised me. I expected him to interfere in the Undertaker and Vickie segment but not for him to turn against Taker. On a side issue here, can you imagine what Vickie must have been thinking when she was first asked to participate in an angle where she had to SPIT in UNDERTAKERS FACE. I cannot imagine being in her position, she must have been **** herself tonight before she had to do that. That was the most disgusting, filthy, degrading thing to do. She's so in for it now. Anyone catch Big Show call her baby? Hope that was a slip of the tongue, don't even go there. Anyway, this obviously sets up a Taker vs Big Show feud, with Vickie screwing Taker over every chance she gets until No Mercy. Only in Kayfabe here, but god I hope she gets what's coming to her then. You DO NOT spit in Takers face and live to talk about it for too long afterwards.

NO MERCY = Undertaker vs Big Show (with Vickie being sent to Hell)

NO MERCY = Shawn (HBK) vs Chris Jericho (title match)

NO MERCY = Triple H vs Jeff (title match)

NO MERCY = Matt vs ?  (title match)

Don't care about any others yet. May do later.

Overall , I thought this PPV was pretty damn good. Love that Matt Won, Sad for Jeff that he didn't, Glad for Jericho.
