    TNA Impact Insite for 12-4-08

Thursday, December 4, 2008, 11:31 PM EST [General]

Word association time.  When I hear the name "Bashir", first word that comes to my mind is "coward".  Who walks out on a six man tag match and leaves their partners high and dry?  i guess Bashir showed that huge yellow streak up his back by not getting in the ring.  Sting looks more puzzled this week than he did last week.  Did anyone notice when he referred to a "family', he did not mention the Main Event Mafia?  He just mentioned that we will see Sunday how a family is supposed to work.  Sting just keeps me wondering and scratching my head.  Christy Hemme got a huge assisted win over Awesome Kong in a mixed tag match.  She now has a boatload of confidence heading into her chance at the Knockout's title this Sunday.  Beer Money was getting Abyss hammered?  I'll say this, Abyss is a funny "drunk".  I thought Jackie was gonna toss her cookies after she kissed Abyss.  She had it coming if you think about it.  For my TNA Impact Star of the Week, I give it to Rhino for his huge win over Sting.  This win gives the Frontline a huge boost going into Final Resolution in that 8 man tag team match.  For my TNA Impact Loser of the Week, I give it to Kurt "Wipe Your" Angle.  Angle crossed the line when he mentioned Jarrett's wife and kids.  You don't do that to a man like Jeff Jarrett.  And who does Angle thinks he is kidding trying to intimidate Mick Foley?  Does he need a reminder as to who Mick Foley is and what he has accomplished in the wrestling industry?  He better get his mind off of Foley and Jarrett and get his mind on Rhino or he will get gored right out of TNA.  This Sunday before Final Resolution, I will breakdown all the matches and give my predictions right here.

TNA Impact the video game review

Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 10:28 PM EST [General]

TNA decided to bust on to the video game scene and compete with the WWE by releasing TNA Impace the video game.  After playing this game, all I can say is TNA went down and WWE covered them for the pin.  What a horrible, horrible game.  Graphics are an issue with this game, trust me.  I have several issues with this game.  My first issue with this game is the wrestler's entrances or lack thereof. TNA must have guessed that having the wrestlers appear out of the tunnel would be enough.  WRONG. Gamers who play wrestling games, like myself, we like to see the long entrances.  To get the actual feel of wrestling, you need to have a full entrance, that means coming out of the tunnel, walking down the aisle, and getting into the ring.  TNA nixed the aisle and getting into ring which was a big mistake in my opinion.  My second issue with this game is the create-a-wrestler mode.  The options are extremely limited and the move set is just horrible.  And what's worse is that you can't change this moveset.  You're stuck with lackluster, repetitive moves until you earn enough "style points" to unlock a move.  Not moves or moveset, just ONE move.  Why? Does TNA wanna tick off the gamers of this nation?  My last issue with this game is the lackluster storyline for the create-a-wrestler.  True gamers want a storyline that will suck them into the story and keep them interested, whether it is a wrestling game or not.  TNA's storyline is flatout boring.  I would not recommend buying this game at all.  Maybe rent, that is if you want to waste your money and any good brain cells you would have left.  TNA Impact the video game gets a 1.5 out of 5.  Now go play a decent game!

    ECW Insite for 12-2-08

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 10:50 PM EST [General]

I am getting sick and tired of seeing Jack Swagger's stupid looking grin on ECW.  Despite looking stupid, the man knows how to win I'll give him at least that.  It's a shame that Swagger's win was against Ricky Ortiz.  I was pulling for the Big O to win.  I think he would make a better number one contender than Swagger.  But if Swagger does get it, Matt Hardy will have his hands full with this guy.  Just do something about that stupid speech problem he has.  He talks with his tongue like he was a lizard or a snake.  Take some speech classes, learn how to talk without sticking out your tongue for crying out loud.  MVP's losing streak remains in tack, lol.  It's not a big secret that the guy is losing money.  You can tell even from his entrance.  No tunnel, no pyro, and very little bling bling.  For my ECW Star of the Week, I give it to Ricky Ortiz.  Even though he lost, he still gave it his all and that gets an "A" in my book.  Now we will see how he rebounds from his first lost.  For my ECW Loser of the Week, it goes to Mark Henry.  What is his problem with Finlay and Hornswaggle?  He's mad because Finlay's got the better of him on more that one occasion?  Hello!  You're the World's Fattest....I mean Strongest Man.  You were out there whining like a baby.  This the WWE, not preschool.  Now he's tricked Finlay into making a tag team match between himself and Tony Atlas versus Finlay and Hornswaggle.  What does it prove if you beat up Hornswaggle?  Nothing in my opinion.  I hope Finlay knows what he is doing.

    RAW Insite for 12-1-08

Monday, December 1, 2008, 11:26 PM EST [General]

I am getting sick and tired of seeing Grizzly Adams, aka Mike Knox, bullying other people around.  He thinks he's tough cause he can push guys smaller than him around.  I wish someone his size would take a THORN and shove it in his eye.  Guys like Knox make me sick.  He had no business blocking Rey Mysterio's path to the ring.  He almost cost Rey his chance at the intercontinental title in this tournament.  Thank goodness he was going against a loser like the Miz.  The Miz is so stupid he couldn't beat Rey when he was injured.  I think the Miz is the one in need of a reality check.  It's gonna be interesting to see the Slammys next week.  A Superstar of the Year?  A Diva of the Year?  Who will win?  It's hard to say.  It's not hard to say guys like Edge and Chris Jericho don't have a snowballs chance in Hades of winning.  Speaking of losers hanging out together, I guess Jericho was successful in recruiting people against Cena.  You know what that says?  It says that Jericho can't get the job done by himself.  For my RAW Star of the Week, I give it to Rey Mysterio for once again defying the odds and getting the job done.  Why do people keep underestimating Rey?  For my RAW Loser of the Week, I give it to Santino Marella.  This guy attempted Melina's entrance into the ring for some strange reason.  This also turned out to be one of the funniest moments I've seen RAW for awhile.  Then it got funnier in the back when he thought it was Beth Phoenix giving him a massage when it was really Goldust!  I couldn't stop laughing!

    SMACKDOWN Insite for 11-28-08

Friday, November 28, 2008, 10:20 PM EST [General]

What a sickening sight to see Edge with the WWE Title winning it the way he did.  And what's with the beard?  Is he trying look tough?  It looks stupid in my opinion.  They said on SMACKDOWN that Jeff Hardy was attacked on Saturday night in his hotel and was not cleared to wrestle in the main event.  My gut tells me that Edge has something to do with Hardy's attack.  Whether he committed the crime himself or sent his cronies Hawkins and Ryder (who forgot?) to do it stills remains a mystery.  Vickie finally made a decent decision holding the Beat the Clock tournament to determine the new number one contender.  Hardy went first and set a pretty decent time of 12 minutes and 13 seconds.  Kozlov was next going against Jeff's brother Matt.  Matt, being incredibly smart, used the clock againt Kozlov and caused him to lose the tournament.  HHH's match was with Shelton Benjamin and ended with a huge question mark.  It turns out HHH finished at the exact same time as Hardy.  Now the question is if both men finished at the exact same time, who wins the beat the clock tournament and becomes the number one contender for the WWE Title?  By the way, it was a breath of fresh air to watch SMACKDOWN without seeing any stupid Kizarny vignettes.  Who's with me on that one?  For my SMACKDOWN Stars of the Week, I give it to HHH and Jeff Hardy for tieing in the Beat the Clock tournament.  But who is the number one contender though?  For my SMACKDOWN Losers of the Week, I give it to the Miz and John Morrison.  Those two goofballs thought they would play a mean trick with Festus ringing the bell like that.  But when Miz dropped the hammer on the bell, the Cornfed Colossus dropped them.  That's what you get when you play fire, guys!
