SMACKDOWN sure started off with a bang with Triple H and Jeff Hardy. Hardy still thinks it was the Game who attacked him that night before Survivor Series. Matt Hardy asked to be on the Cutting Edge with Edge to say otherwise. He stated that he knew it was Edge because Edge was nothing but scum. I have to agree with that statement. Edge IS nothing but scum. However Edge made some valid points himself. Orton, Miz and Morrison, and even the Undertaker were names he mentioned. And I hate to admit it, but he did a have point with those names. But look at it like this, Edge might have been trying to get the finger of blame at some other than him. He even got Matt thinking about it. Sometimes scum do make valid points. Then he steered off course by saying that no one cares about Matt Hardy. Well that couldn't be any further from the truth. I only speak for myself but I think Hardy is one of the best ECW Champions the new ECW has ever had. So if Edge wants to try playing that card on the ECW Champion, it will be card that he will lose with.
Who the hell was that guy that appeared on the screen after that distortion? And what the heck was he talking about? I'm just staring at the guy trying to figure out who he is and he is spouting off something about the dark side and gaining power. If he is talking about the Undertaker, he better rethink his plan. The Phenom is someone you don't want to mess with. If this guy thinks he can take him, let him try. The Demon from Death Valley will put him in his place.
Will somebody please tell me how long SMACKDOWN will wait before Carlito and Primo defend the WWE Tag Team titles against The Brian Kendrick and Big Zeke? It seems that we will be forced to sit through one-on-one matches and nontitle tag team matches until boredom sets in and I tend to change the channel when something is boring on tv. Either that or I whip out my PSP and play it, completely ignoring what's on tv.
For my SMACKDOWN Stars of the Week, I give it to Triple H and Jeff Hardy for putting on one hell of a main event match for SMACKDOWN. These two guys tried to tear each other apart two days before the triple threat title match this Sunday.
For my SMACKDOWN Loser of the Week, I give it to Edge for coming in the ring and ruining that main event. I wanted to see a winner and that loser, who finally shaved that stupid beard of his, ran in and spoiled a wonderful match. Plus the fact I HATE HIS GUTS! I don't care if it is HHH or Hardy who wins, as long as it is not Edge!
First off I would like to tip my hat off to Curryman who unfortunately was the receiver of the Fired case in the Feast or Fired match. I guess he went from being hot and spicy to cold and mild.
Sting looked like he was disgusted with what happened at Final Resolution, and I don't blame him. Sting never won any of his matches by giving his opponent a shot to the gonads. That's not Sting's style of wrestling. Sting is more honorable than that and isn't that what he has been trying to preach since he came back to TNA? Look at the beatdown of Brother Ray. Sting never laid a finger on him and even walked away from the beating and the MEM. What kind of message does that send to the MEM? In my opinon, that message could be that Sting is getting sick of the MEM. I know I am.
A video game character came out and beat up the Motor City Machine Guns? What low will TNA stoop to in order to get ratings for Impact? Why bring in a video game character for a lousy game onto the real Impact stage? Bringing in Suicide will not change the fact that the Impact video game stinks. Try as they might, it will not help them or the video game.
Abyss thought that Beer Money was going to take him to the Drunken Clam last week? That's funny. Not funny ha ha, but funny stupid. TNA Management, allow me to book a match for you. For the TNA World Tag Team Championships, Beer Money vs Morgan and Abyss in a no dq match. Put them in that setting and just let them beat the hell out of each other for the belts. The edge would go to Morgan and Abyss for their size advantage and bad attitude.
For my TNA Impact Star of the Week, I give it to Brother Ray for stepping up the way he did. Although his effort was all for naught as my TNA Impact Loser of the Week, Kurt Angle, led Brother Ray into an ambush and proceeded to beat the hell out of him. The Frontline will want blood next week.
One last note, AL SNOW IS IN TNA? Is Snow attached to Foley's hip or what?

Vladmir Kozlov had no business being on ECW let alone attacking Tommy Dreamer. The OG of Extreme had something he wanted to get off his chest and thanks to Kozlov, he couldn't. Then Jack Swagger stuck his ugly face where it didn't belonged and gutwrench powerbombed Dreamer. He may rue the day he did that to Dreamer.
I was upset last night. I was hoping Alicia Fox would be on and she wasn't.
Matt Striker made some unique comments towards Kung Fu Naki and Jimmy Wang Yang. One of them was that Fu Naki and Yang looked like young dragons. For those of you who didn't know, Jimmy Wang Yang was part of the team Yung Dragons in WCW. Another reference was to the Jumping Bomb Angels. The Angels were a female tag team in the 80s and were former women's tag team champions.
For my ECW Stars of the Week, I give it to Kung Fu Naki and Jimmy Wang Yang. They gave Miz and Morrison a huge run for the money but just fell short. They worked well together and we could see a new Yung Dragons team in the WWE.
For my ECW Loser of the Week, I give it to Jack Swagger for sticking his nose where it didn't belonged.
Miz and Morrison, Tag Team of the Year. Considering the fact that these two yahoos were the longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions of 2008, they were a shoo in to win Tag Team of the Year. However winning that award did not spell success for Morrison in his match against C.M. Punk. Punk advanced to the finals over Morrison.
Edge and Vickie Guerrero, Couple of the Year. A couple of what? Enough said.
C.M. Punk cashes in, OMG Moment of the Year. I remember that night. This was the week after the draft and HHH was drafted to SMACKDOWN with the WWE Title. Edge has retained his World Heavyweight title over Batista the night before. So Edge, cocky as ever, decided to come out and gloat. He boasted that RAW would never have a world title again. As soon as he said that, here comes Batista. Determined to make Edge pay for his crimes, the Animal proceeded to beat the holy heck out of Edge and left him in a heap in the ring. Taking advantage of the moment, Punk ran out with a referee, handing him his briefcase, gave Edge the GTS and won back the World Title for RAW. That night Edge got what he deserved for shooting off his mouth.
Shooting Star Press, Evan Bourne, Finishing Maneuver of the Year. Now I have seen this move executed by several high flyers over the years, (I'm only 28, give me a break), but I have never seen done better than when Evan Bourne executes it. He flies so high and the form he takes during his flight in the air takes your breath away. The only downside about this is that Mike Knox has taken possession of Bourne's trophy. I wish someone would stick a THORN in Knox's backside and tell him to get the heck out of here.
HBK vs Ric Flair, WM 24, Match of the Year. The Nature Boy's last match, how can it not be Match of the Year? JBL is starting to freak me out with what he is doing to HBK. Accepting the trophy in his name for his win over Cena at the Bash? JBL has flipped his ten gallon hat, that's for sure.
Beth Phoenix, Diva of the Year. Poor Santino. He got the raw end of the deal on this one. After Phoenix got her trophy, she tried to slap around Melina. Melina then knocked Phoenix down and her head collided with Santino's....lower body region. I won't go into details. It was horrifying just to watch it.
Chris Jericho, Superstar of the Year. I would like to know who made this call. Jericho is the Superstar of the Year? Are you kidding me? Well if you think about he has had a stellar 2008. Winning the intercontinental title and two world titles would definitely benefit a superstar of the year award.
For my RAW Star of the Week, I give it to John Cena for beating the heck out of Jericho and taking out of the arena. These two hate each other and will fight tooth and nail this Sunday for the World Heavyweight title. For my RAW Loser of the Week, it has to go to Santino Marella. I won't go into why. It was painful just watching what happened to him.
First thing I want to say is that Jeff Hardy is starting to creep me out with that weird facepaint he comes out with. It gets weirder and weirder every week. Big ups to Kung Fu Naki for giving Edge all he could handle, but the WWE Champion, and I use that term loosely, was just too much for him. At one point I really thought he had Edge beat using that crane kick. I was hoping Fu Naki would kick Edge's beard off his face. Again I ask for Edge to shave that stupid looking beard off of his face. I guess Vickie had no choice after what the WWE Board handed down to her. Edge will have to defend the WWE Title against both HHH and Hardy. That means Edge only has a 1 out of 3 chance of winning. Those are good enough odds for me. Whether it's HHH or Hardy, it really doesn't matter to me as long as Edge isn't the champion after the ppv. I will say this about the goofy looking champion, he knows how to nitpick at someone's head. He got into Jeff Hardy's head and planted the thought that HHH, not Edge, was the one responsible for what happened to him at Survivor Series. And Hardy being in the emotional state that he was, he took that comment to heart and assaulted The Game when he came in the office. And next week Hardy will face HHH one-on-one. These two will tear each other apart just two days before the ppv. Edge must be licking his hairy chops. For my SMACKDOWN Star of the Week, I give it to the Undertaker for beating the Big Show in what he coined his environment, the steel cage. Whenever the Deadman slaps on that Hell's Gate submission hold, his victim has no choice but to tap out. That is exactly when Big Show had to do, he had to tap. When was the last time he actually tapped out in a match? The only other time that I can think when Show tapped out is several years ago when Hardcore Holly in a no dq match put a chair on Big Show's neck. Other than that and tonight, I can't think of any other times when he has tapped. For my SMACKDOWN Loser of the Week, I give it to the Moscow Mauler, Vladmir Kozlov for his assault on Matt Hardy. You know it takes a big man to attack someone from behind and tie them up in the ropes. Kozlov, just like Hardy, likes to bully people smaller than himself. Kozlov, heed this warning, Matt Hardy will not die and he will come for you.
