Help a fellow wrestling fan and filmmaker out. Smackdown Your Vote!

Tuesday, September 30, 2008, 07:05 PM EST [General]

Ok, so I did a movie in late August for something called the Film Race.  All the teams had 24 hours to write, shoot, edit, and turn in a movie.  Now my movie was picked as one of the top 9 of the city and people can vote on it.  The problem is, there were only 4 people on the entire cast and crew for filming.  So we're already down when it comes to votes compared to everyone else that had full casts and crews.

I'm turning to the WWE Universe for help.  Yes, this is a shameless promotion and I'm asking people to vote on something that they probably don't care about, but whatever.  That's the beauty of the Internet!  Sadly, there is no wrestling in the movie.  But there are two hot babes and one of them makes reference to wrestling.  Good enough?  No.  Ok.  Well, here's the link.

The movie is called "That's What She Said".  Easy title to remember.  Please vote.  I don't want to loose just because my team was too small.  I'd rather loose because movie sucked.  That I could live with.  But it doesn't suck!  That's the best part!  And if you think it sucked, I don't care!  Vote for it anyway!  Why?  Because us wrestling fans should stick together.  Any of this worked?  "That's What She Said".  Voting closes Oct. 5th, I think.  They really weren't clear on that.  So don't delay!  Vote today!  Smackdown Your Vote!  You have the power...

    RAW/SNME

Tuesday, July 29, 2008, 01:43 AM EST [General]

Just back from RAW and SNME.  I can honestly say that the show came off pretty well live and I'm very happy about it.  The dark match with Hass and London was fantastic.  RAW was very good live.  Although certain things I need to go back and listen to the commentary.  SNME was pretty weak.  3 matches.  That's it.  The opening match was fantastic.  The second was a squash match.  The last was actually kind of boring, which is weird because of who it involved, it should have been a lot better.

Overall, good night.  Can't complain.  And Adamle as new GM was money.  I think I'm the only guy who actually likes him.  Not because he's good, but because he's awkward to watch.

    WWE Fantasy

Sunday, July 27, 2008, 11:54 PM EST [General]

You know what I miss?  The WWE Fantasy League.  I though that thing was great.  I don't understand why they got rid of it.  I've been looking for other fantasy leagues online but nothing is really the same.  I tried 4down.org predictions or whatever it's called and I just don't like it.  I really want the WWE to bring back the Fantasy League.  Or at least start a text base wrestling league where you can make characters and fight other people.  I've been looking for those online as well and just haven't found one that I really like.

    ECW Title

Saturday, July 26, 2008, 01:36 AM EST [General]

So I've officially came to the conclusion that I hate the new ECW title.  The pictures were up on the main page today and it just doesn't make sense to me.  Now, the design is just weird but not terrible.  I do like the Phoenix on the main plate.  Kind of shows the resurrection of ECW and just like the phoenix, it doesn't come back the same way every time.  It also doesn't bother me that they took away the traditional look of the ECW belt.  I mean come on, this isn't the same ECW that Paul Heyman had.

No, what bothers me is the fact that the belt is silver.  A silver belt?  Really?  And it's a world title.  Yeah, right.  This just shows that Vince doesn't care about the brand.  How is one of the world titles going to be silver?  The WWE title has 7 different plates and diamonds.  The world title looks like its 10 pounds of solid gold.  But the ECW title?  Silver.  How is anyone suppose to look at it and even consider it as one of the world titles?  They can't.  And that's all that Vince has accomplished by changing the color.  And I feel bad for Mark Henry.  He finally gets a major title and the damn thing changes during his title run, which makes him look second fiddle.

Oh well.  If defended properly, then the color of the belt won't matter after awhile and everything will be back to normal.  But damn, is that going to take a long time...

    It's about time!

CM Punk winning the World Title was possibly the best thing to happen on RAW in a long time.  Or at least since last week when Triple H was removed.  Which I would like to add, the week after Triple H is gone we have CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase, and Cody Rhodes all holding titles.  Every single one of them and up and coming talent.  Really doesn't help Triple H's image of not holding back talent.
