So I've officially came to the conclusion that I hate the new ECW title. The pictures were up on the main page today and it just doesn't make sense to me. Now, the design is just weird but not terrible. I do like the Phoenix on the main plate. Kind of shows the resurrection of ECW and just like the phoenix, it doesn't come back the same way every time. It also doesn't bother me that they took away the traditional look of the ECW belt. I mean come on, this isn't the same ECW that Paul Heyman had.
No, what bothers me is the fact that the belt is silver. A silver belt? Really? And it's a world title. Yeah, right. This just shows that Vince doesn't care about the brand. How is one of the world titles going to be silver? The WWE title has 7 different plates and diamonds. The world title looks like its 10 pounds of solid gold. But the ECW title? Silver. How is anyone suppose to look at it and even consider it as one of the world titles? They can't. And that's all that Vince has accomplished by changing the color. And I feel bad for Mark Henry. He finally gets a major title and the damn thing changes during his title run, which makes him look second fiddle.
Oh well. If defended properly, then the color of the belt won't matter after awhile and everything will be back to normal. But damn, is that going to take a long time...

I see your point, but I'm pretty sure they stopped considering the ECW Title a World Title a little over a year ago when John Morrison/Johnny Nitro became the Champ. I think it's probably considered on the same tier with the Intercontinental and United States Titles these days. I would prefer it to remain a World Title, and if it were I wouldn't understand the silver thing either, so I feel you.
