CM punk opponent at the Great American Bash poll

Sunday, July 6, 2008, 11:17 PM CST [General]

    Hey Everyone,

Hope all had a great holiday weekend. I got a bit much sun, but it's all good. Smackdown was excellent friday night!! Loved the VIP lounge with Triple H, the fatal 4th of July for Matt's US title was also excellent. Michelle vs Natalya for the Diva's title should be competitive (though not as Mickie vs Beth).

Anyway, Smackdown has it's title match set for the Great American Bash, here's your chance to vote for RAW's!!! CM Punk should defend his newly won world title. Choose his opponent. The options are below. Thanks and enjoy RAW!!

5 Superstars the Draft could help

Thursday, June 19, 2008, 07:00 PM CST [General]

Hey everyone!!! Hope some of you are feeling the joy of McMahon's Millions. If you're like me though, no such luck, lol!!! Hopefully monday will be different though.
Speaking of which, 8 EST monday night will be the beginning of the new look RAW, Smackdown and ECW. And you'll ask yourself, well Kurt, i see that RAW is coming to my town and I have these matches advertised, certainly these stars aren't going anywhere?
Not so, if the recent sagging ratings are any indication, it's time for a major shakeup!!! So with that said, i'm gonna now give 5 superstars that the draft could be a really big help to and hopefully a fresh start.
    1)  Jeff Hardy  That's right, Jeff, not Matt. And yes, he needs to go to Friday nights!! Since the Royal Rumble, how many shots has Jeff had at the WWE title? None.  And that's counting a triple threat match at Mania and a Fatal 4 way at Backlash. He wasn't in either. Continuing matches against Umaga and Jericho?  That what Jeff Hardy fans want?
Look, there is no title matches with either HHH or John Cena in Hardy's future. And another Intercontinental title run for Hardy? Maybe but is that what we want to see?  A feud with the Edge/Batista winner ( if the world title doesn't go to RAW) and maybe a run in with his brother, now that would be a great career move. Jeff has endless possibilities on Smackdown. The sky's the limit for him here. I can't think of a better 'twist of fate' than for Jeff to be on Smackdown!!

    2)  MVP   Ok, let's be honest, I wasn't a big MVP fanatic when he first came to WWE.  But it's been nearly 2 years, and I have to admit, MVP is at the stage where Mr. Kennedy was a year or so ago. It's now or not at all. MVP has the attitude, he carries himself very good on the 'Mic', The 'Lounge' is a great segment, and personally, he's become a top contender to every title in WWE.

MVP vs Edge, never happen.  Now, could MVP be a world champion, ABSOLUTELY!!!  But with  Vickie Guerrero in charge, I can't see that lasting.  So with that said, it's time for a change.
MVP vs Shawn Michaels or HHH or John Cena?  Phenomenal matches. MVP as WWE champion?  Definitely could happen!!!  MVP has won  the WWE tag titles and the United States title in a little over a year.  Imagine with him on Monday Nights what RAW and MVP could become.   We'd see if he was 'better' than everyone else. Might be surprised.

    3)  Elijah Burke.  Ok, Vince said over a year ago, Elijah could be the 'face of ECW'.  Well how has that gone?  Right, it hasnt. Elijah has been CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer's whipping boy for over 5 months now.  In that time, how many title matches has Elijah had? None. Shelton Benjamin has overtaken Elijah as the hot prospect to become champion, and so has Kofi Kingston. So what's now?

Answer?  Friday nights. Elijah would become an instant asset. Assume Elijah would get matches with Finlay, Batista, Matt Hardy. Elijah Burke would instantly become mid card to main event. And the one major roadblock that Elijah has in ECW, no secondary title, would be overcome with him going to Smackdown. He'd become a top contender for the United States title!  I would take a ride on the 'Elijah Express' if it went to Friday nights!!

    4)  Kelly Kelly.  Seriously, it's time. It's been over 24 months since she's debut in ECW. She's done strip poker, dancing, been a member of a dance trio. Since that time, she's proven she can fight, dance ( somewhat), and she's has a legion of fans worldwide.
So with that said, IT IS TIME!!! Don't care if it's Smackdown or RAW. Doesn't matter. But Kelly Kelly's time is here. She's a diva, we all would love to see her on either show, and honestly, watching her and Leyla catfight for nearly 6 months has got really irritating.  Five years from now, we'll still be seeing Kelly strut.

Torrie is gone, Candice isn't around, We like Maria, but honestly, she doesn't get much air time, it's time for Kelly.

    5)   Tazz    Now this one is a bit of a stretch, but speaking personally, JBL, Johnathan Coachman and Mick Foley, are not TAZZ!!!  Foley has some humor, he's entertaining, but again, he's not TAZZ!!! Cole and Tazz we're a great team.  We get Tazz's talent for what, an hour a week and maybe one match on PPV's?  Tazz is a great analyst, Carrying Mike Adamle is no way to reward Tazz for his work. And though we'd like it, Joey Styles isn't walking back through that door i don't believe.

We want Tazz on Friday nights, heck we want Tazz any night. If he were working for UFC, we'd watch. If he worked for that other promotion on Thursday's, we'd watch. Though we love the King, if he were paired with good ol' JR, we'd watch.
Tazz's style is unmatched on TV.  Name an analyst in the last few years that has worked as well. Michael Hayes, Coach, Paul Heyman?  Nope. Tazz can relay the action and make you feel the moment. Heck, he's basically describes the reaction any of us have at that particular point in time. Tazz, I know you're one of the last real things in ECW, but Friday's are where you belong.

Thanks for reading, i'll be interested to see if any of these actually come to happen on Monday. Leave your thoughts, freely. Enjoy the weekend, OUT!!!

Orton vs Triple H at Judgement Day

Monday, April 28, 2008, 11:18 PM CST [General]

It's being reported that after RAW went off the air, King Regal came out and stopped the WWE championship match, with no winner. So as bad as you feel, imagine how badly the fans there tonight felt, lol!!!
Anyway, I guess it's official, Triple H vs Randy Orton at Judgement Day for the WWE championship. So you can pay another $40 to see a winner then.

CM Punk should cash in at Backlash

Monday, April 21, 2008, 01:08 PM CST [General]

Hey Everyone, welcome to my first blog. I have a Myspace page that I usually blog at, but for this blog, I wanted to make a blog that would create some hopefully fun discussion.
I've been a fan of pro wrestling since the late 70's of the old Georgia Championship Wrestling ( ah yes, Gordon Solie on Saturday nights).  In a future post, i'll give you a little bit of my fan history.
For this post, I want to make a simple request, and this goes out to one person, CM Punk. And it as follows: When I finish watching Backlash this Sunday night, you hopefully have successfully cashed in your Money In the Bank briefcase.
Ok, so now your first question is why do I feel this way?  Simple, a Major shakeup!! As I write this, the WWE Draft should have taken place. Unfortunately, it hasn't. Instead, i'll be treated to what is basically a shadow of what once was the 'King of the Ring'. 8 superstars from 3 brands will compete tonight to win the crown. If history serves me, and I might be wrong, nearly every winner of the King of the Ring has gone on to win a WWE major championship. That won't happen with tonight's winner. I'm almost certain.
That said, as with the Money in the Bank winner, every holder of the case, remember Edge beat Kennedy last year for the case, has won a championship. Every ONE!!! But let's be  honest, one on one, CM Punk can't beat the Undertaker! One on one, CM Punk can't beat Triple H, John Cena or Randy Orton. And I personally could care less if CM Punk cashes in to become ECW champion again.
So why at Backlash?  Simple, two reasons. 1) Sure, we could wait all summer, have CM Punk maybe get dealt to Raw or Smackdown, have some dramatic announcement that he's cashing in and maybe, just maybe, he'll get lucky, aka, Rob Van Dam.  Why wait? Honestly, no one is talking about when CM Punk will cash in. Not even in his own brand is he a big story right now. Why drag this out all summer and possibly into the fall and take the chance that a Pay Per View title shot will end with him being the first loser to hold the case.
            2)  Look at the 2 big main event matches Undertaker vs Edge and the Fatal Four way for the WWE championship. Opportunity knocking!! One of the great things about Vince McMahon is while more often than not, you can predict what will happen next, you get an occasional curve ball. And how big a shock to see CM Punk come down the ramp after either of the two championship matches this Sunday and cash in his briefcase.  It would be completely unexpected and like CM Punk or not, it's the right thing to do and the right time to do it.
The winner of the Batista vs Taker title match on Smackdown will have to turn right around and defend at Backlash. If by some stroke Batista wins, he may have to face both Shawn Michaels and Edge in separate matches.  Orton, Triple H, Cena and JBL are going to be in a 'slobberknocker' at Backlash. Whoever is successful will have literally given everything they have. Now CM Punk may not be an opportunist (like Edge), my advice, better become one quick. Come this time next Monday, CM Punk could  become the most loved or hated superstar on the roster!! Period, it's all we'll be talking about.  And if he follows said advice, He WILL WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!
So just think about what I have said, Punk. Watch, wait and prepare. Any of the above mentions stars are a GTS away from forking over their hard work and making you heavyweight champion!!! Trust me, it's the right thing to do!!
