Seeing the Hardy's/Punk feud from the other side

Friday, August 14, 2009, 02:55 AM PST [General]

It kind of funny I have been on the CM Punk side of the whole Punk/Hardy feud. Now, that Matt is back and he cost CM Punk the World title, I am starting to see how full of **** some CM Punk marks are. If Matt would have cost Jeff the title and stayed heel, the Punk marks would love Matt. I just think its kind of funny to be on the other side of the Punk/Hardy's feud.

I was reading a fourm and all the "hardcore" CM Punk marks are saying how a Matt Hardy World Title reign would suck. These same people are that post pictures of Matt Hardy hitting Jeff over the head with a chair, saying(jokingly) that Matt Hardy saves us from horrible champions one chair shot at a time. I was reading these kind of quotes just a couple of weeks ago. But during this past week I have seen an increase of hate on Matt Hardy from the CM Punk marks, due to Matt Hardy costing CM Punk the title.

What I have came to relize is that all these people who make fun of "Marks" for hating on Punk, are just as susceptible to the WWE storylines as a 10 year old kid. One minute they love Matt for costing Jeff the WWE title at the Royal Rumble the next minute they hate Matt for costing Punk the World Heavyweight Championship. I just think it's a funny observation, to see people who consider themselves "Smart Marks" become total marks and blindly hate on Matt Hardy.

If you were wonding I am not a CM Punk hater. CM Punk is one of my top 4 current favorite. The only reason I thought I would bring this up is that I am in favor of a Matt Hardy World Title run. Matt has been a top 5 favorite of mine since he started the whole V1 gimmick, and now he is a top 2 favorite of mine. The Hardy Boyz are one of my favorite tag teams of all time. So thats why I want to see Matt Hardy win the World title. I have seen Matt grow as a wrestler, he is one of the best workers in wrestling today. He has paid his due a million times over. I think its about time that V1 gets the world title that he has been working at for the past 17 years. If you don't agree with that, fine, but don't blindly bash a guy who has done nothing but work his ass off for 17 years.

Superstar of the Year Monthly Update & New Matches added to MOTY candidates

Tuesday, July 28, 2009, 11:35 PM PST [General]

Starting Last Month I was listing my mid year Superstar of the Year. Every Month starting now I will update my Superstar of the Year List. If you go to this link you will find last months Superstar of the Year Candidates. Here is the updated list of the Superstar of the Year Candidates:

    1. Christian

    2. CM Punk

    3. Jack Swagger

    4. Mark Henry

    5. Kofi Kingston

At Number 1, Christian takes the top spot from Jack Swagger. Christian has showed that he has been the best wrestler in the entire WWE. He has had good match after good match.

At Number 2, CM Punk enters the list. Ever since turning heel Punk has been doing some of the best promos, and matches. I hope the WWE keeps capilalizing on his momentum like they have been doing.

At Number 3, Jack Swagger falls two spots. Ever since the begining of July, I havent really seen much from Swagger. He hasn't really been on TV that much. Moving him to RAW was a bad decision, He is not getting the exposer that he should be getting.

At Number 4, Mark Henry enters the top five. these past two months have been good for Henry. He has been the only one who benefited from the trade. I hope he gets a main event shot by the end of the year.

At Number 5, Kofi falls one spot. The reason he has dropped is because he hasn't really been showcased that good. He needs to be put in a strong feud against a wrestler like Jack Swagger or Brian Kendrick.

    Summer Slam Rant(WARNING CONTAINS SPOILERS)

Tuesday, July 28, 2009, 10:25 PM PST [General]

    Summer Slam

After Night of Champions, I was talking to my best friend Chris. I told him that if the WWE had fresh match ups at Summer Slam, I would be willing to pay to watch it on PPV, or go to my local sports bar to watch it. All day Monday I was holding on to hope that the WWE would freshen up the main event scene on RAW, and just like many times before the WWE disapointed me. I started watching RAW, and they announced that they were having a beat the clock challenge to determin the new number one contender for the WWE championship. I was intrigued by that. I was thinking that the WWE could have Jack Swagger or MVP or Mark Henry win the beat the clock challenge. My hopes for Mark Henry were dashed after he was announced as the first match. I was still holding on to hope for MVP or Jack Swagger. Then MVP had his match after Henry's, he ended up wrestling the returning Chris Masters, so I knew his chances of winning were slim to none. So after that double count out, Triple H has his match, and I was surprised because he wasn't able to beat the clock. My hope rised a little bit. I was thinking that if the didnt have Triple H beat the clock, they might have John Cena lose his match. So after Swagger loses to Evan Bourne is was time for Cena's match. Once I found out who Cena was fighting it became obvious who was going to win the Beat the Clock. Why have him fight the Miz? I don't know. They gave it away when they had Orton come out to watch the main event. John Cena ended up making the Miz tap out with 2 minutes left on the clock. They should of had Cena win with a few seconds left on the clock, not with 2 minutes left on the clock. It make Mark Henry look extremely weak, stupid Decison by the WWE. I would of been more intrugued by a Mark Henry/Randy Orton match at Summer Slam. Just for the sole reason that John Cena will be fighting Randy Orton I will not be paying to watch Summer Slam.

Also, aint it obvious that DX will be taking on Legacy at Summer Slam. Just what we need, two middle aged men crushing to young stars in the WWE. Smart move WWE, you are doing a good job of NOT building a future for the WWE.

On the Smackdown side they will be having Punk fighting Jeff Hardy for the World title. On this weeks Smackdown they have John Morrison lose cleanly to Jeff Hardy for the World title, so that crushes John Morrison's hope of having a World title match at Summer Slam.

I'm sick of seeing the same matches over and over again, I don't want to watch John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the thousandth time. It's boring!!! Until I get some fresh main event matches, I will not be ordering any WWE PPV's.

One more thing, what does Christian have to do to get moved to RAW or Smackdown, and get put in the main event there? The WWE(& Vince) is ****ing retarted if they don't see how good Christian is.

    WWE Night of Champions Review

Monday, July 27, 2009, 05:37 AM PST [General]

    Unified Tag Team Championship

Chris Jericho & Big Show(c) vs. Legacy

Winner: Chris Jericho & Big Show to retain the tag titles

    Rating: 2.5/5

I was dissapointed that Big Show was Jericho's tag team partner. I was hoping they would elevate a younger wrestler, but I guess the WWE thought that was a bad idea.

This match actually surprised me. When they announced the Big Show as the Tag team partner, my expectations dropped hard for this match. But they ended up having a really good match.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    CM Punk Promo

    Rating: 5/5

This was a awesome heel Punk promo. This was like an CM Punk ROH promo, it was that good. If you can find it, I recomend you watch it.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ECW Championship

    Tommy Dreamer(c) vs. Christian

Winner: Christian to win the ECW Championship

    Rating: 4/5

This was a really good match. This match showed why Christian should be in the main event scene on Raw or Smackdown. This also showed that Christian is the best worker in the WWE. The match really never slowed down, which was great. They got a solid 12-13 minutes, which was awesome. I think Christian deserves more than what he is getting, but atleast they put him over in this match.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    United States Championship

Kofi Kingston(c) vs. MVP vs. Jack Swagger vs. The Miz vs. Carlito vs. The Big Show

Winner: Kofi Kingston to retain the US Championship

    Rating: 3/5

This was reall fun match. The match really never slowed down at any point, they kept developing the Primo/Carlito fued, and really just had a really good match. I'm glad they kept the title on Kofi, I think he should keep the title until summerslam. Awesome match.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Woman's Championship

    Michelle McCool(c) vs. Melina

Winner: Michelle McCool to retain the Woman's Championship

    Rating: 2/5

This was an OK match. It's a little bit more than I expected, but a decent womans match. It was a little sloppy, but most WWE womans matches are. Other than that it was an OK match.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    WWE Championship

Randy Orton(c) vs. John Cena vs. Triple H

Winner: Randy Orton to retain the WWE Championship

    Rating: 2.5/5

I didn't really care for this match. It was on par with they're wrestlemania 24 match like I expected. The ending was extremely stupid. Other than that this was an OK match. My question is, Who feuds with Orton now? He has beaten both Cena and Triple H, where does he go from here. Maybe the WWE will elevate a younger guy to the main event of Summerslam. I don't think that will happen but I don't know, I'm just sick of seeing Orton as WWE Champion.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Diva's Championship

    Maryse(c) vs. Mickie James

Winner: Mickie James to win the Diva's Championship

    Rating: 1.5/5

This match was not good at all and it wasn't Mickie James's fault. I'm blaming Maryse for the match sucking as bad as it did. I'm done talking about it.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    IC Championship

    Rey Mysterio(c) vs. Dolph Ziggler

Winner: Rey Mysterio to retain the IC Championship

    Rating: 2.5/5

Solid match. Nothing special. I was hoping that they would put Dolph Ziggler over Rey but that didn't happen. It was a solid match.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    World Heavyweight Championship

    CM Punk(c) vs. Jeff Hardy

Winner: Jeff Hardy to win the World Heavyweight Championship

    Rating: 4/5

This was a really good match. Good action, it told a great story, the false finishes at the end were well done. My only gripe about the match was that Jeff Hardy won the title. I predicted that Jeff would win, but the WWE gave it away by making this match the main event. Once I saw that the Triple threat match was not the main event I knew the WWE was going to have Jeff win the title. I'm hoping that if Jeff stays Champion, he drops it to Matt when he come back from his injury. That would be awesome. If Jeff didn't win the title this match would be a 4.5-4.75, but since Jeff won it gets a 4/5.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, this was a solid PPV. It was about what I expected.

The shows Overall rating is : 7/10

Night of Champions MVP: Christian, in his match he proved that he is the best worker in the WWE.
