why are there so many threads like fire cena, fire batista, jeff shoulndt be champ, and so on. i mean really if you hate these guys so much than why do you spend so much time talking about them? personally i'm not a fan of cena or batista but i dont find it nescessary to spend my time on here bad mouthing them cuz honestly i'd rather talk about what i enjoy about wrestling than what i dont but thats just me. this goes for the heel haters too. just cuz jericho is a jerk on raw he doesnt need to be fired. thats his job to be a jerk same for JBL if here werent such a **** on T.V. we would have no reason to cheer for the people he faces. if you wanna waste your time time talking trash about wrestlers you dont like just cuz you dont like them thats fine by me but in my book that makes you just as much a mark as a faces only fan
the term jobber
i've seen the word jobber being tossed around alot here lately and i feel some clearing up need to be done about what a jobber really is.
1. a loss does mean a wrestler is jobbing. a match takes at least 2 people to put on and in which there must be a winner and a loser. each wrestler has a role in the match and spots they need to hit at certain times and takes a certain amount of skill to pull off properly. each wrestler must carry his/her own weight in the match to make his opponent and themselves look good and if that means lying flat on your back than it has to be done. would you say the rock jobbed for stone cold and vice versa during there wars?
2.Now a true jobber is somebody that is brought in for a wrestler to showcase themselves and hit there big moves without contest and establish them as a force of dominance in an early part of the career. during the match a jobber will usually hit little more than a few punches and some toe kicks and will hold no advantage at any time during the match. a jobber will usually have no entrance on a televised event and is typically someone you have never heard of. jobbers can usually be seen on the ECW program or on dark matches during raw and smackdown. jobbers were very prominent during the early era of WWF as well.
as a long time fan i felt this needed to be cleared up to those who have abused the term recently as it agravates me seeing names of superstars being labeled as jobbers when they clearly are not
later on folks
who are these dudes
i am curious to why new wrestlers are getting big pushes and major recognition by the WWE whle more established guys are being left behind. Vladimir Kozlov is about to recieve a WWE title shot and my question is why? what has he done in his short career to merit a title shot? maybe a small title to give him a push like the U.S. title but the WWE title? when i was growing up the WE title was reserved for the top guys and guys in there first few years didnt really get to much. Hell i can remember Stone Cold being around or almost 5 years or so before he was even given a shot at the WWE strap. HBK, same story. yet here we are and guys whos character hassnt even really been etablished yet are main eventing pay per views. i dont know about you but i dont tune in to see the rookies every week on raw and smackdown. i watch WWE programming for the guys that have been puting on a good show for me for years now and the rookies are the filler matches that i watch waiting to be impressed before the guys i want to see go on. the WWE needs to stop trying to push the new guys to the front and the pros to the back. im all for bringing in the new blood but the gotta prove they belong first
