...from having to suffer through another night of Chris Jericho's Intercontinental Championship reign, that is!  Just when things looked their bleakest, Shawn ran interference for new Raw roster member and challenger Kofi Kingston, who summarily captured his first championship in WWE.  Congartulations to Kofi and here's to Shawn Michaels!

Over the past month, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho's rivalry has experienced twists and turns that left even a ring veteran like Y2J guessing—though he didn't care to admit it! But with Shawn's health status no longer in question, Jericho seemed to have no reservations in pulling out all the stops to break HBK down.

Shawn Michaels was one step ahead of Y2J, though, and came out atop a series of reversals with a hard-fought victory. Congratulations, Shawn!

With a single note of Sweet Chin Music, Batista was silenced and Shawn Michaels picked up the win tonight.  Way to go HBK!  Hopefully whatever was bothering him at the end of the match is nothing serious.

But will the results of this confrontation satisfy Batista, or will he continue to harass the Showstopper?
