If you watched Smackdown this past Friday (and if you didn't, I don't blame you since DX wasn't involved) you may have noticed something interesting during the CM Punk vs. R-Truth matchup.

As of late, CM Punk has been having a feud with, of all people, referee Scott Armstrong, who just so happens to be the older brother of former WWE talent, the Road Dogg, Jesse James.  Between that and the fact that R-Truth is a former tag-team partner of the Road Dogg, both in WWE and TNA, it seems to have incited the Rhode Island crowd to chant for one of our favorite Superstars—even though he hasn't set foot in a WWE ring in years.

Hey, Providence—when R-Truth asked you "What's Up?" I don't think that's what he meant, but we appreciate it anyways!  Here's hoping WWE hears your pleas and brings the Road Dogg back into action; he's apparently sitting on the sidelines right now anyways.

Gerweck.net is reporting that BG James, better known to the WWE Universe as "Road Dogg" Jesse James, has been released from his TNA contract.  At this time James' future plans are unknown, although this potentially opens up the door for a WWE return.

With DX running roughshod over Raw, the time may be ripe for the Road Dogg to make his return!
