At the conclusion of Monday Night Raw for October 26, NASCAR racers and guest hosts Joey Lagano and Lyle Butch took the liberty of booking the main event for Survivor Series 2009, pitting John Cena against Raw's top contenders for the WWE title in a triple threat match—that's right, against Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
While the prospect of a title shot for both members of D-Generation X is no doubt exciting and bound to be a fantastic match, championship gold has a history of coming between partners; even DX themselves in years gone by. Thus it will be the policy of the D-Generates group going forward to not play favorites and simply encourage good sportsmanship. Whether it's Triple H or HBK who defeats John Cena, there can only be one WWE Champion—and we encourage both Shawn and Hunter to rise above the temptation to dissolve their friendship in order to stay in pursuit of the championship belt.
Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates lately. It's been an extremely busy holiday week! Regular updates will resume anytime now.
While on the subject of group news, WWE Universe has changed the metrics which determine the groups featured on the front page—which means a few extra clicks are needed for new WWE Universe members to find us. So now more than ever, if you want to help the group grow, make sure to informally invite people to join through messages, forum posts or your forum signature!
DX had another round of holiday tips for the WWE Universe on the most recent episodes of Raw and Smackdown, offering several valuable suggestions on what to get for the kids, your parents, your friends, the yappy little dog next door or even yourself.
Due to the events we witnessed December 1 on Raw, this question must be on the mind of every HBK fan. JBL came to the ring for a "street fight" with HBK, but before the match could go on, JBL reminded Shawn of the offer that was made last week.
The offer: financial stability, in the form of a job working for JBL. JBL revealed to the Raw audience that due to the recent downturn in the economy, the Michaels' household lost a fortune, putting into question Shawn's ability to pay for college for his children years from now, among other things.
Though Shawn neither confirmed nor denied JBL's accusations, the look on his face and his actions in the ring certainly lent credence to them.
JBL issued Shawn an ultimatum. Offering the tip of his chin and a free shot to Michaels, JBL told Shawn he would extend the offer one more week, or to take the shot and give up the job forever. Faced with this decision, Michaels turned away and left the ring, leaving the main question open, leaving other questions to be answered and leaving JBL with a wide grin on his face.
Okay, so some of you may not even know about this because we have tons of new members and it's been awhile since I've blogged about it, but as members of the D-Generates group, you all have access to a customized set of WWE Universe avatars. I've uploaded a tutorial GIF to the photo album which should hopefully help some of you to grab a new avatar and switch it out if so desired.
So if you want to replace that generic default avatar with something that says "I'm down with DX!", check them out at http://photobucket.com/DX_FN_Avys/.
And for those of you who already knew about them, new tees are available! Maybe it's time for a change anyways:
