Three days—that's all it took was three days for the rumor mills to start buzzing about an impending reunion of D-Generation X now that Triple H and Shawn Michaels both call Monday Night Raw home.
WWE has already updated its Live Events Schedule with a DX Invasion Tour coming to Lyon, France on November 13 and 14. Now, this may mean a simple one-weekend only reunion, or it could be a sign of greater things to come. Either way, it is the first truly good news we've had in nearly a year.
And if you're not down with that, we've got trois mots for ya... vive le DX!
The draft is over, and as you all probably know by now, Triple H has been drafted to Monday Night Raw! More exciting still is the fact that Shawn Michaels wasn't drafted away from Raw, putting DX back on the same brand for the first time in 9 months!
With Shawn's money problems solved and Triple H's knack for making enemies, the time is ripe for another DX reunion. And if you're not down with that, we've got two words for ya...
Isn't it odd how quickly the brand lines criss-cross around Wrestlemania time? Everyone wants to make a name for themselves, it seems, and they'll climb over anyone, anywhere to be a part of the next big Wrestlemania moment.
On Raw, Triple H (still a Smackdown superstar) had his plans for 'Mania set, as Randy Orton agreed to challenge him for the World Heavyweight Championship come Wrestlemania. The only catch is that Triple H cannot lay his hands on Orton unless physically provoked first—which gives Legacy the opportunity to strike when and how they see fit, as they did this past Friday on Smackdown.
On Smackdown, Shawn Michaels (still a Raw superstar) had his challenge to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania accepted by the Deadman himself. "Mr. Wrestlemania" has overcome big challenges before, but now he must face the one man who, it seems, cannot lose at Wrestlemania. Is this a challenge even Shawn Michaels cannot overcome, or can HBK pull off the impossible yet again?
One thing is for sure—both members of DX have their work cut out for them at Wrestlemania 25.
DX was at it again on the December 1 episode of Raw! This time they were hawking the new Official Scale Elimination Chamber! Take a look at what this puppy features:
40 pieces to assemble (Challenging!)
Comes in its own box (Convenient!)
Authentic merchandise; real scale 1:1 with the real Elimination Chamber (Unlike those cheap Asian imports where the chamber fits neatly underneath the ring...)
Nearly two feet in diameter (Almost as big as Hornswoggle!)
Holds over 85 WWE Superstar action figures! (Doubles as a briefcase!)
A free gift of no-longer-marketable action figures! (Collectible!)
Some assembly required! (Get to work!)
Recreate all your favorite matches! (What's this? Rey Mysterio is on the top turnbuckle, oh my! JBL is in for a world of hurt! Mysterio leaps, does a 360 somersault... no, a 540, no, a 1380, and now he's flying off into the kitchen? And he connects with a missile dropkick to Timmy's forehead! What a slobberknocker!)
An empty box to play with when you're done! (Back to basics!)
All for the discounted price of $104.99! (Affordable!)
Hope you all caught the show as it featured a surprise appearance from your friends at D-Generation X, geared up to show off some of their latest merchandise!
Don't forget, boys and girls—even jolly old St. Nick himself goes to WWEShop.com for all his authentic DX merchandise... his elves refuse to manufacture bootlegs of any WWE merchandise not featuring Hornswoggle!
