In a Live Blog two months ago, I sat down with the young ECW rookie, Jack Swagger, who promised the fans that his only mission here in WWE was to win the ECW Championship. And he would remain undefeated in doing so.
Granted, that's the goal of all rookies in Raw, SmackDown and ECW -- make your mark, and climb the ladder to win the brand's top title.
But tonight on ECW, Swagger accomplished what many seemed impossible. He defeated champion Matt Hardy to become the 11th ECW Champion since the reincarnation of the brand. And he did it in a fashion very few people have been able to achieve against Hardy.
Swagger looked very impressive tonight in Sioux City, and was able to use an exposed turnbuckle (which Swagger had torn off early in the match) to stun Hardy and hit the Gut Wrench Suplex

Now, the sketch was buried near the end of the program, and most SNL viewers tend to bail out after Seth Myers' and Amy Poehler's popular Weekend Update news segment.
But thanks to the Internet, this quirky sketch found a viral audience. So much in fact, Wahlberg himself had to talk to the media about the sketch, and how he was displeased.
It was a very little part of that episode of SNL ... but that little part went a long way.
