UPDATE: 4:26 p.m. ET: I just received word that tonight's Unified WWE Tag Team Championship Lumberjack Match between The Colons and The Miz & John Morrison will open tonight's WrestleMania, as an exclusive pre-show match that will only be seen on the WrestleMania DVD.

The only place to get live results and play-by-play of this match will be tonight's Live Chat session (starting at 5 p.m) here on WWEUniverse.com.

That's cool! See you then!

Greetings WWE Universe! Welcome to another edition of "The Weekender", your guide to the latest happenings on WWE's online community, and a preview of what's on tap!

First, I want to send my utmost congratulations to my Live Blog co-host and WWE.com's resident historian, legendary ring announcer Howard Finkel, on his upcoming induction into the WWE Hall of Fame next weekend.

My earliest memories of WWE are full of "Fink" moments ... from his announcement of "NEEEEWWWWWWW WWE Champion!" at WrestleMania, to "It is now time, for the ROYAL RUMBLE!!", Howard has been part of the soundtrack to the greatest highlights in company history.

Yes, Howard has also had his down moments, from having his car damaged outside Monday Night Raw when Mr. Perfect threw Shawn Michaels into Fink's windshield

We're on the Road to WrestleMania and Houston, Texas, WWE Universe! The fine folks at WWE.com have cooked up some great new features for the site as we count it down to April 5.

First, the new 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania mini-site is live and kicking! This is the nerve center of all of our WrestleMania coverage on WWE.com, including links to photos, videos, and of course, WWE Universe Forums. This is the place to get all charged up for the big night at Reliant Stadium.

Second, WWE.com's new "Smash Ups" feature gives you all the tools to make your own WWE highlight video, including hundreds of clips, still art and background music.  And, some lucky video maker will win $5,000 in the process. It's a must-try! I'm enjoying the videos already made by the Universe ... great job

World Wrestling Entertainment needs your ideas for the next big event at WrestleMania XXV in Houston, Texas!

WWE is looking to host new types of events for our fans at the silver anniversary of the world's biggest sports-entertainment spectacular April 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2009.

We've already have our annual Hall of Fame Induction Gala, and our award-winning Fan Axxess exhibition, but we want to hear what YOU the WWE FAN NATION want to see and attend at the 25th edition of WrestleMania.

The ideas can range from a big open-air concert open to the public, a carnival, or a WWE Legends autograph signing event ... anything and everything is welcome.

Also, the event can be themed around the WrestleMania XXV event site (Reliant Stadium) or any Houston-area venue.

Submit your ideas

I'm glad to see the WWE Legends and Hall of Famers finally get their time to shine on the video game scene.

If you missed it, THQ announced yesterday that they are coming out with WWE Legends of WrestleMania for the PS3 and XBOX 360. The game will be released in Winter 2009, to coincide with WrestleMania XXV, the silver anniversary of the Super Bowl of sports-entertainment.

So finally, we'll see the WWE Legends and Hall of Famers get their due. I imagine the game will be similar in controls to the SmackDown vs. Raw series. But with the ability to have downloadable content, the possibilities are endless.

Imagine if you could reinact Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant in the Silverdome for WrestleMania III? All we'd need is Howard Finkel on the ring announcer microphone and we've got a WWE

Other than winning the WWE Title at WrestleMania, nothing comes close in the sporting world to the feeling of winning an overtime series clincher in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. And I'm still coming down from the high of seeing the Pittsburgh Penguins (my hometown team) defeat the hated NY Rangers 3-2 in OT this afternoon.

Since the WWE.com office is split very lopsidedly in favor of the local NYC-area team, I thought I'd get my gloating done now in my WWE Fan Nation blog, so that their will be no leftover hostilities come Monday. And I'm going to do this with some Photoshopped help from the fine guys at The Pens Blog.

First off, Marian Hossa was MONEY! Scoring the first goal on a beautiful power play one-timer (seen above) and the OT game-winner, he was flat out CASH!

Yes,
