In this busy week of sports and WWE action, here's a look at all the Comings and Goings you might have missed:
COMING: Mr. McMahon, back to Monday Night Raw for the first time since his accident after giving away his millions. The Chairman got a roar from the crowd as he made his trademark "strut" to the ring.
GOING: Mr. McMahon, after a swift punt to the head from Randy Orton! What was the Legend Killer thinking?!?! He might just have "killed" the biggest legend of them all, and brought down a whole heap of trouble upon himself. I think Sunday night in Detroit could be "Awkk-warrrrd" to say the least.
COMING: Chris Jericho, who got his WWE job back after pleading groveling with Stephanie McMahon to let him back in. The apology to the fans was a nice touch.
GOING: William
...The surprises started early this Armageddon weekend. Saturday night in Hamilton, Ontario, The Miz and John Morrison defeated CM Punk and Kofi Kingston for the World Tag Team Championship -- this on the heels of winning the Slammy Award as Best Tag Team of 2008 six days earlier. It's the first reign as World Tag Champions for the pair.
You have to wonder ... did CM Punk get caught thinking ahead to his Intercontinental Championship Tournament match at Armageddon against Rey Mysterio? Or was it just the strength of the Slammy Award winners that brought them the gold?
I will do my best to bring the new champs to the Armageddon Live Blog tonight at the HSBC Arena, starting at 7 p.m. ET. I bet the dynamic duo will be in a boastful mood.
Until then, break out the champagne! It's
...John Cena fans, I know you're hurting right now.
Rumors were flying all day Monday about a possible injury to the former WWE Champion. But when Mike Adamle confirmed Cena's injury on Raw Monday night -- a herniated disc in his neck that occured in his SummerSlam match against Batista -- and that Cena will be out for a long time due to surgery and rehab, it was a shock to the Cenation and all of us at WWE.com.
Whether you're a Cena fan, or one of Cena's "boo brigade", you have to feel bad for John. I saw him compete at Madison Square Garden this weekend, and you could tell he was not himself, but still struggled through the pain and managed to score a victory with tag-team partner Batista.
He's a true all-out competitor, and I'm sure he had to be dragged kicking and screaming
