I just finished reading Chris Jericho's book, A Lion's Tale: Around the world in spandex. It was a very good read. I learned a lot about Jericho's time in Mexico, Japan, and his time in ECW and WCW.
I love reading these "wrestler" books because it gives you a behind the scenes look into what was going on in the companies. I remember watching WCW when Jericho was there and wondering WHY THE HELL DON'T THEY PUSH THIS GUY! If any of you wrestling geeks (like me) out there are wondering what is was like for Y2J before he went to New York you should definitely check this book out.
Is anyone else pleased with Jericho's current work? I think he always makes a great heel. I'm glad he got a couple more world title reigns too. The man definately paid his dues.

Is anyone else sick and tired of seeing this company not give guys the belt when they obviously deserve it? The fans want Jeff Hardy to hold a world title. I, as any other longtime wrestling fan, understand the concept of building an event so the anticipation is at a fever pitch. I'm sure the company wants to maximize the affect of Jeff Hardy winning his first title. But come on guys. Enough is enough!
Obviously the WWE has a pretty good track record when it comes to pushing guys for the title or putting a title on them at the right time. There have been a few exceptions. Why in the hell did Mr. Perfect never win the big one? This guy was not only head and shoulders above just about everyone else in terms of pure wrestling talent, he was also the one of the best heels in the company's history. It is a damn shame the WWE (F at the time) missed the boat on that one. And what about Owen Hart? For my money, the obvious thing to do would have been to put the belt on him during his feud with Bret. This would have a perfect time for them to test Owen as world champion. If he didn't work out the way they hoped they could have just had Bret beat him for the title. Easy right?
My point is this: YOU DON'T HAVE UNLIMITED TIME WITH THESE SUPERSTARS! If a guy is primed and ready for a title run, put the damn thing on him. My guess is that they're going to have Jeff win the belt at Wrestlemania. The big show is still several months away though. Will the fans be burned out on seeing Jeff in world title matches by then? Well WWE, test the fans some more. Teasing fans seems to be more important than satisfying them any damn way. Right?
