So I promised my wwe friends here who keep asking me to do a new blog on my thoughts on current goings on and I kept putting them off saying I would when things pick back up in January(Rumble-Mania season)
Well the return of Slammy Awards 3-Hour show merited a blog I feel. I'm writing this pretty quick so expect some typos. Try not to judge me too harshly if I spell "there or their" wrong. So for all you wwe friends who sent me messages or aim buddies who wanted a blog...here ya go. Heck this is gonna be a long blog, 3-hour show? Yep.

I'm rewatching RAW now as I do more of a stream of thought along the way.

Opening
First off I love the slammy concept as it's one of those things like Hall Of Fame that WWE really should have done every year since its origin. I know the Slammys were just a vehicle to push Wrestling album but still it should have been used as an annual year-end award even when WWE wasn't pushing a record/album. While I'm sure the award winners are pretty much a 'work'. I'll try and give impression/take on them with more understanding of WHY it was made more than who I feel should have one. Thinking back on my first viewing of this week's RAW that may be tough in a couple instances.

Disclaimer lol
Please dont take too much offense if I don't praise your personal favorite or if I give credit to someone you despise. I try to look at the shows from entertainment standpoint and understand the bigger picture in most cases. These are just my off the cuff honest takes. With that said lets cue up the tape...

Tag Team Of Year
Decent start. Allowing the guy with the 'hollywood/paparazzi' entrance an 'oscar'type acceptance speech. Morrison is obviously future standout. Miz has improved and began to find his way. Many feel this team should be split to give Morrison a singles push but I'm looking at it from different view. All those fans who rip/whine/complain that the tag division being 'weak' would be hypocritical saying break-up Miz/Morrison.

CMPunk vs Morrison
This is a matchup of two people that it seems when pushed hard the fan-boys turn on and start hating YET when underused they get their steam and love back from the marks. Suplex to the outside of ring is such a huge move to me and it was done during break!?! ugh. This match is possibly one of the most underrated of the year. Numerous reasons. 1. It came so late in year that it was ON the night of awards show and 2. Opening match and huge spots came during commerical break. 3. Nothing major on the line or at stake. Tourney for a "shot" at something is afterthought. Still really good match and I'll stand by this may be most underrated of year because it will be forgotten for reasons mentioned.

Cena-Jericho vid recap/Cena Interview
The AWA shirt is distracting and such a chance for Cena to win over fans who have NOTHING for him. I just wish Cena would acknowledge his "AWA throwback" type/logo t-shirt and tell the little kiddies its origin. I really think many of the oldtime fans who hate Cena would begin to appreciate him more if they realize he is a true fan from back in the day.

Finishing Move
Crymetyme with Candice for some reason made me flash back to Harlem Heat and Sherri but anyway that's off topic. I really thought RKO would win and sorry Orton fans I'm sticking to my belief the finisher stands for "Randy Knock-Out" not his full name. "Oh my he's going for the Randy Keith Orton...uh NO! I don't think so. Evan Bourne was a decent surprise in that the toughest looking move to complete actually won. Mike Knox appearance? ugh. Gene Snitzky was released today...one down one to go maybe Knox will get his "future endeavors" notice too. It probably is better RKO didn't win finisher as it gave Orton chance to do heel complain to keep heat instead of winning award and drawing cheers. I enjoy these multi-brand shows one reason IS it seems every time as of recent times there's an "Evolution" mention or two. Orton finally MAYBE reveals the name of the 2nd gen stable name. To me THAT is huge news in a throwaway segment. As soon as he said "Legacy" I was like well so that's going to be it. Not "2nd Generation" or "Next Gen" or any other possible good name. Oh well. They'll push this Legacy stable name hard if they really stay with it. I'm hoping someone in creative reads this and goes with "Generation Next" or something that ties into the "family" aspect of the members.

MVP streak
I may be one of the few who actually thinks that MVP is STILL going to be huge in wwe. This losing streak is just "dues paying" for his huge too-early push he received. If Antonio Banks can be cool during this streak angle he'll go far. I know that view is not widely held but just my view. Sidenote, Charlie Haas copycat gimmick is a good role for him and keeps him from receiving the "future endeavors" notice.

Kane DVD commercial
Wow did wwe drop the ball not letting Kane beat Cena even if in a cheap DQ or Countout type win to help push DVD sales for his new release. Zero forethought in that simple booking choice that would have helped bottom line.

Extreme Moment of Year
I would have personally voted for Jericho puts HBK through the "obscenely exprensive Jeritron5000" lol. But that's just me being sucker for irony since Michaels'singles career was catapulted by doing similar thing to Jannetty on barber shop. Oh well. Hardy presents award as if it wasnt obvious Jeff wouldn't win. Heck when I saw Matt come out to present I immediately thought Jeff would "win" extreme award for his Heath Ledger joker impression from a couple smackdowns ago. Guess that proves I didn't read nominations before Raw.

Jericho-Hardy
I guess this was a good match I don't know they cut to break as it started. Going into this Raw I had the viewpoint that this would be one of those Raws where it would be WAYYY better show than th actual ppv they are putting on a few days later this Sunday. I'll stick to that opinion and it's one reason this show I felt merited a long-awaited blog. As a sidenote I actually like the multiple commentator tandems calling a match like this one. Vince in their headsets is still obvious but still good none-the-less. While I have the platform I'm going to say it. All the marks who hunger for a Jeff Hardy world title run...if and when he gets it...the honeymoon will be short lived and the "haters" will rise up and make their voices be heard against jeffery. Unfortunate but thats how it goes.

Couple of Year
Kelly Kelly and Kane presenting. lol I have to ask because I missed it if it happened. When did kelly's "exhibistionist" addiction end? Was their a payoff and she was "cured"? lol An example of storylines with no conclusion. Nice touch though with Kane mentioning his past "couple" status. Edge and Vickie for the win...mmk whatever. Another case of couldn't actually give the award to Santino and Beth because they would have drawn cheers. Vickie was soooo much heel heat. I wish she'd make fans look pathetic and say what would "eddie" think of you for booing me. That would be such egg in face of fans. Won't happen though unless she's on way out or attempted face-turn. lol Santino has a plum role right now on Raw. I just hope they don't rush his turn. Taking away IC title from him was a huge error of judgment I think.

Tribute to Troops commercial
Ok I have to say this. If NBC promotes this like they used to do for the Bob Hope specials when I was a little girl this will hugely help wwe in general audience approval rating. I mention this because I noticed the Late Bob Hope int he clip.

Santino/Beth-Finlay/Hornswaggle
Comedy match. One thing I notice. Beth Phoenix talks MORE when not around a microphone than when one is around. Not sure I can think of anyone else like that in wrestling. Now that Hornswaggle beat Santino, Santino should next week or sometime in future demand Hornswaggle defend the defunct Cruiser title and "stop-ah da hiding da bellllltuh".

Diva Of Year
Melina is soooo going to turn heel and couple up with Santino in future. It's just obvious to me. Beth Phoenix "toughness" could get her over on her own as a face if she gets turned on. Just an idea. Dropping Santino when announced winner of award was a good "tester" for this face turn in future. I'm sorry but her music is from TBS "Clash of Champions" I just know it is! I been thinking this since I first heard and had to mention it here.

Slam of Week
JBL-HBK. So I said it weeks maybe months ago to people. HBK vs Undertaker at mania 25. I really think this JBL bit is a prelude to it. I said the same on wwe forums and was flamed by some idiot asking how do i know this. ugh whatever.

OH MY GOD moment of year
Alicia Fox music is soooo late 80's WWF entrance music mixed in with the old cut to commercial of Prime-Time Wrestling music I actually like it for its cheesiness. sorry. Joey Styles appearance in Philly/ECW hometown. I'm sure the mama's basement dwelling ECW fan boys ate that up.(Anyone offended by that line, you take stuff too serious! If wanna know real reason I said that hit me up on aim and ask,I'll tell ya'll.) Anyway back on topic, Imagine if this award presentation had happened AFTER the JBL-Joey Iraq gossip? WOW OH MY GAWWWWD! CM Punk cheeseball acceptance speech really proves if given opportunity he really could get over as heel. lol Could be fun!

Kofi Kingston-Rey
Kofi reminds me of someone from my other fav show. Big Brother. BB9's Parker. So for that I'll never be a fan. lol Also why does it sound like Kofi's theme music lyrics is saying "I need a little shelter" What? Is his gimmick "Homeless Jamacan"? lol Sorry Kofi fans who hit me up on aim messenger(mine is angiedubs1 <--SHAMELESS AIM MESSENGER PLUG). I had to get that line in here in blog poking fun at the kofi fans. Don't hate me too much I'm just havin fun. Right now its popular to hate on Little rey but I have a soft spot in my heart for him even though he is reeping benefits of his late 90's repuation. If/when the day ever comes they turn little rey heel I will so mark out and enjoy watching how he acts. Dumb idea but will be painfully entertaining to witness. On a final note since I made fun of Kofi's music, I'll be equal opportunity. Are they saying in little rey's song that someone is stealing their audio equipment? The singer does say hey "That's my stereo!" just kidding.

Match of Year
Warning here comes the only Ang-Markout moment of show. I have to admit right here. This is the one award I actually cared about. The exception to the rule. I soooo wanted Flair-Michaels to get nominated and feel it deserved the win for its historical signicance. I'm biased on this one. Sorry. I can't help it here. YAY! Ric Flair. YAY! Shawn Michaels. Ok I had my mark out moment. We now return to blog already in progress.

PPV Theme Song
Guns and Roses "Chinese Democrasy". Yes, this proves even furthermore we are living in the "future" the distant future. lol Axl actually released the album after umpteen years wait. He took so long it went from "not worth the wait" to "unfairly being dumped on" He delayed the album so long that even the "not worth the wait" critics are outweighed by the ah its not that badd. Still I wish it'd not sell so Axl would have to reunite with Slash. Oh well that day will come...in the "future" I hope.

Evolution-Legacy Handicap match
I'll ignore the old Monday Night War bait and Switch scam they did tonight with "Batista vs HHH" to do a little digression on The Orton stable. Anyone who IMs me on aol aim messenger and has asked my opinion for months has known I felt the next big stable would be a next generation group. I still say they should have turned Cody Rhodes heel a longer time ago when Randy did that angle against Dusty Rhodes. Cody just fits to me as "Mini-rko" like the Austin Powers villian 'Mini-me'. On the otherside I have to wonder if HHH-Batista bait and switch is because they may actually be a Mania 25 match slot. Ugh. I hope not.

Armegeddon PPV Commercial
I just wanted to add to the guns and roses stuff that its ironic Chinese Democrasy is theme song since a lyric is "it dont really matter" as that has been my main contention about wwe goings on from summer to january in the federation for years. Not much happens and is big reason I hadn't wrote a review blog in a while. Anybody who hits me up on aim when they see me online knows I love me some irony. Especially "hypocritical irony" and pointing it out to people. If I dish it out I gotta be able to take it. So Gotta be fair and point out my own here. I say it 'don't really matter' from summer to january in wwe yet I'm writing this blog. lol Love irony.

Damn Moment of Year
Well this is the routine "group of leftovers w/legends for comedy skit" moment that seems to happen during any big show.
Clearly Khali is only is cheered when saving a very over babyface like Cena ect. And Mickey James injury clearly killed her heat and she was poorly used nearly boo'd for kissing Khali. I've tried to be positive about the overall tone of show until this point. Whoever was the producer/writer for this one missed bigtime. Worst segment of night to me. Even Duggan,Slaughter, and Simmons weren't allowed to save that rotten egg brought on by mis-used Mickey, wrong-role Khali plus toss in the long since tired rib on Brooke Hogan singing gimmick. Geez

WWE Video Game Commercial
Kelly Kelly's biggest push since ECW expose' and maybe her entire time in wwe could be from this commercial where the gamers are picking tag partners. I don't have much comment except to say to all those who read this blog and are video game players I'll save you the trouble from asking. Sorry no I don't play video games. I have a little bit with past bfs but no I don't own the new 2009 whatever name of it is WWE video game. I didn't feel like rewinding to write down correct name for. Now I feel like Shawn Michaels a few weeks ago misprouncing the game systems. That question if I play video games is suprisingly one of most asked questiosn I get from wwe friends after "who's my fav wrestler".

WWE Rewind
Sorry gotta say it again. Should have given Kane a token win to help push Kane DVD sales this week. Such little forethought put into that really minor thing. A meaningless win would have ACTUALLY meant something to the wwe bottom line for a change.

RTruth-Dolph Ziegler
We interupt this blog to be stupid but at least I know I'm wrong on this one and don't care. Sorry but I gotta come clean here and plead "guilty pleasure" award to K-Qwik. Ron Killings, Rtruth. Whatever his name is. I'm embarrassed but I actually like his theme and him, guess he's my modern day JYD not booker T. Wuts up! Wut's up! So R-Truth is my "yeah I know he sucks" but I like him anyway WINNER. Meanwhile Dolph Ziegler(spelling wrong I dont care) seems to have alot of people on his bandwagon after last week. Not so fast for me. The only thing I like about him so far is his MidSouth Wrestling days style Ted Dibiase boots. Love em.

Superstar of Year
Ok so when Stephanie comes out to give award I immediately had a "near markout moment" as I thought YES! HHH and Steph together in same segment. Its been my long held view that I know you fanboys whine and complain about so many angles in the fed but for me the ONE true PLOTHOLE in the fed is the Steph-HHH relationship but I sooo love how they toe the line tongue-in-cheek almost admitting "hey we know this is our plothole". I just eat it up anytime theres a reference of segment involving or even in this case nearly involving the HHH-Steph marriage. Love it. With that being said. I know Jericho winning it here is being crapped on by most fans but hey I see the point. It keeps his heat in this case. If Cena had won it would have given reason for people to whine and hate. If HHH had won (my personal hope, reason mentioned above) some would have hated it and he's the babyface the on underlieing surface the fans I think are ready and willing to boo vs Hardy,Taker ect.
As for Jeff Hardy, he may be most popular but wasnt going to win, Batista just too blah, Edge nope not the top heel as Raw isn't his show. I still have said for a few weeks now I really think it'd be cool and ironic if Steph and Jericho were an alliance after their early days of "Filthy disgust, trash bag ho" feud. Like I said I love ironic stuff like that.
For all those who wish Jericho would go back to funnyY2J, that's just the point. If he did that he wouldn't be able to do his role of hated superstar as well as he is doing this Monotone Business suit gimmick he is doing that is ACTUALLY working. His role is to be disliked by fans. Mission accomplished. I get it whether like it or not doesn't matter in this heel's case, I get it, however some don't seem to.

Edge-Cena
Probably another good match. Not sure they went to commercial to start. I still am willing to bet this 3-Hour show overall is better than the Pay Per View six days from now. If they'd flip the script and made Slammys the December PPV and the ppv lineup tonight's Raw there would be a much bigger buy-rate. I just know it, but changing the PPVs is a debate for another time. Don't get me started on my belief that Armeggedon(spelling wrong), NO Mercy, Judgment Day could easily be replaced by other much greater ppv properties the WWE owns. The big smozz to finish Raw? Pretty much a yawner of an ending. Heck It could have been cooler have the main eventers end the show in the ring "not allowed to brawl" or they forfeit shots/title ect and actually close the show with a dueling mic work segment like is sometimes done to OPEN shows but I'm just giving my take.

Conclusion
And thats what this whole blog was about me giving a take albeit a super duper long one. I hope ya'll liked getting a blog and appreciate it. I'm not going to beg for comments or whatever like is done alot of times at the end of these things. If you liked or hated my views and takes thats fine. If you wanna leave comment that's fine too. Hey all! Thought I'd write up a quick blog to let everyone know whats up with me.

So yeah I hadnt been on here since late last week. Busy holiday weekend to say the least.

But that all seems like weeks ago all because of the last couple of days. As I type this now it's STILL raining here like it has been for the past three days.

As some of you know I'm here in Northern part of Louisiana and if you've been watching the news then you may have heard about Hurricane Gustav that hit my state. The media reported here for like a day but then when New Orleans wasn't destroyed like during Hurricane Katrina then one and done, the national media packed up and left.

Katrina did huge damage down south louisiana and very little to the northern part of our state. This time around the northern part of the state like here in Monroe/West Monroe where I'm at has got the worst flooding and rain I've ever seen in my whole life like maybe worse than even when I was a little girl.

Water is flooding all the streets in Monroe, it's going into houses. Luckily for my fam and I, we have a house built on great foundation and water isn't coming into our house but the front and backyard looks like a river.

We went without electricity and power from Monday afternoon until just today. So yeah I missed an episode of Monday Night Raw for first time since late 1995. I also missed my other fav show Big Brother 10 due to the power outage.

Oh well I'm glad we're still alive and things could be worse. Ugh I say that as I hear the rain still pouring down outside. Ok I'm gonna end this blog and try and answer some of the many messages from you friends here on wwe fan zone. Also will accept all the friend requests that have come in the past few days.

Hey all WUT UP. So I promised a few people who sent me messages I'd take some time and write a blog up. Just wanted to say its cool so many of you sent friend requests and I tried to accept all of them quickly. Sorry for those who had to wait a couple days this weekend cause I wasnt on wwe.com any at all to check and answer messages. Please ignore any grammar, spelling probs as I'm just writing this as quick as possible but still it may be a long blog cause I got a few takes so just gonna let it flow as if I'm speaking what's written I guess...So roll with it friends. All good? Good let's go.

I'll try and use this blog to answer some questions I got in several messages over th past few days like how was my weekend. OFF th hook in an answer. A bunch of my friends and I went out to this place where from 8 to 9 free margeritas. So of course we slurped a couple down left with some other friends who met up with us and hit Logans. Its a steak place. YUM. Good stuff and yes unlike some I eat meat. Love it. Had a great steak and potato. After that we piled in misty's suv and hit th club. Had fun there. Didnt stay til 2 when they close but it's all good. I ended up staying at her place instead of going home. That was the clean version of th happenings this weekend. Probably partied too much but whatev. I doubt we party as hard this weekend coming up cause 4th of july while I know alot really party hard that weekend we're pretty chilled around here. BBQ and watching fireworks sittin in lawn chairs shootin th breeze for most part.

Anyway that was my weekend then Sunday pretty lazy did play some online poker on pokerstars over at my friend's place.

Dont read below if ya havent watched wwe in a while or want recent events spoiler.

Ok guess I'll get to th rasslin stuff cause a few people wanted my take on stuff goin on. I almost wrote a blog last week rippin the draft and the Jim Ross move to smackdown but I'm coolin off about it. Chalk it up to it's something McMahon (and probably Kevin Dunn too) wanted for a long while. That's no secret to any long time fan. Plenty of examples over years to prove it.

Lets get to events in th now. The draft can be a great tool to get wwe through the boring parts of the year after wrestlemania is my take on it. Freshen shows up with new matchups and so forth. Seems that's what happened. The last two Raws have been entertaining even if I didnt like certain things that went down. It's about entertaining and it's been very watchable. The same can't be said always before that.

I guess since last night's Raw is most fresh on my mind I'll give my takes on some stuff that happened. I thought the opening segment Jim Ross appearance (and especially mid-south wrestling mention was great) well done. Looked like last minute script change day of show Edge's stooges I bet were to beat down Ross, but cooler heads prevailed and JR got a more dignified(somewhat) escorting out of arena instead. The Batista-Edge blow up to set up the surprise CM punk win was well done. That has Michael Hayes(even though suspended and smackdown writer) and Chris Dejoseph(fat oily guy) writing all over if I had to guess. I'm not a CM punk fan by any means as he is credited for bein such a great wrestler while cena dogged out YET punk wrestles much the same style as the divas such as Mickey james. Might be tough take for some fans to swallow but go objectively look at tonight's matches for comparison.

Tonight was first night they really showcased Jillian sing her own song it seemed. I thought the diva match was pretty good. After that when Rey Rey was hyped to appear I started thinking who will they pair him with as a feud and Santino came to mind so it was cool to be right on that one. Didn't take any smarts to figure it out with a babyface world champ(cm punk) and McMahon could care less for little rey so stick him with Santino for a little while.

I really think they missed a unique chance last night to get extended post-title win celebration out of punk's world title win as usually when a big title change happens it ENDS the show. So it woulda been cool to have seen more post-title win celebration, interplay backstage.

It seemed to me right before the hour one conclusion during the recap of what's gone on that Jerry Lawler looked legit happy the show was going as well as it was. The show seemed to really flow pretty good with few lulls.

Cena giving his in ring comments segment seemed totally written in part by Bruce Pritchard, throw JBL's appearance in the mix as well. I liked the "Martial Law" touch added to the storyline mentioning for second time on night there's no GM of Raw even if it's just a way to rehash Austin-McMahon morphed into Cena-JBL. Let's hope we don't have entire angle reproduced every week.

And how about that commercial for the Ric Flair DVD? Oh my god! I thought it was gonna be just rehash from other releases. Awesome it may not be. I knew the post-raw bit from Undertaker and Vince would be on it but looks like lots more too. I really really am lookin forward to seein this DVD documentary and hope it's not rehash of the horseman dvd even though it's kick butt. Speakin of Flairs Any chance we'll see Flair-Rhodes feud in reverse down the road(Reid-Cody)? That'd be fun since I'm a flair fan!

Speaking of which probably for most the lull point of raw was the tag champs match vs the jobbers but for my money it's that timeslot every Raw where they put the who cares moment but since I didnt see pay per view I wanted to see Cody rhodes spin on things and yes I'm totally diggin Ted Dibiase Jr. lovin me some Teddy. Smug heel. Still I'm hooked. Hope th writers got a back up plan when they bring Bob holly back cause sorry I aint cheering him. I'm for th Generation Next crew. Maybe Randy Orton will be their leader since Cody already seems like a mini-orton look-a-like? Anyway enough of me givin ideas back to th takes.

I know alot of people are likin kofi kingston but I'm not feelin it. He reminds me too much of Parker off Big Brother 9 so not likin him but then again I don't like Cade either so Jericho is having to carry alot of dead weight in that storyline right now.

Almost forgot to mention Jamie Noble backstage moment vs Kane. That so had Grewitz writing written all over it. Still gotta be happy WWE's british version of Lita got a part in the action(credit me please if you agree). MissKatie Lea. Maybe that should be Katie Lea-ta. Anyway Way to go. Seems like they're gonna develop her as one to possibly find trouble backstage. Ok cool direction.

The Main event had pretty decent intrigue as to whether JBL would be given the run or would they let CM Punk keep th belt. I totally loved CM mentioning the nameplate during his interview earlier. As a long time fan i dig little things like that. I guess with th big brawl at the end sets up cena,cryme tyme and cm punk vs jbl. Wonder who will be JBL's partners? I got some ideas but gonna keep em to myself. Ya know when Cena got kicked out of the arena and JBL was standing at the door? WHY didnt they pull back and have APA former partner Ron Simmons there in JBL's face to say "DAMN" to go to break. Coulda been a fun moment to exit to commercial with. Oh well.
