WWE Champion Edge spears his way into the Fatal Four Way Match to steal the momentum heading into the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out.
FRESNO, Calif. – Just two days before No Way Out, four of the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match participants fought it out in a Fatal Four Way, while another made his heroic return to SmackDown. But, in the midst of the pomp and circumstance, the opportunistic WWE Champion once again found a way to come out on top and steal the thunder from all of them.
Triple H vs. Undertaker vs. Big Show vs. Vladimir Kozlov (No Contest) (Fatal Four Way Match) (WATCH | PHOTOS) WWE Champion Edge placed the blame for the neck injury he claimed to have sustained one week ago at the hands of Undertaker squarely on the shoulders of his tag team partner, Big Show. SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero wasted no time announcing that she would not risk her husband competing until No Way Out this Sunday. However, after Big Show interrupted them and exchanged harsh words with the champion, Guerrero had no trouble informing him that he would be in a Fatal Four Way Match with three of his Elimination Chamber opponents: The Game, the Moscow Mauler, and The Phenom. (WATCH | PHOTOS)
In the critical climax of the grueling back and forth battle between four of WWE’s most dominant Superstars, the Ultimate Opportunist suddenly dove into the action, spearing The World’s Largest Athlete to snatch the momentum heading into No Way Out.
Jeff Hardy Returns To SmackDown (WATCH | PHOTOS) Seemingly recovered from the shocking attack by his brother Matt Hardy that cost him his WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble several weeks ago, Jeff Hardy made his return to SmackDown. Although he acknowledged that the events of recent weeks have affected him deeply, he told the WWE Universe that he intends to look forward, and is 100 percent focused on regaining his gold at No Way Out this Sunday.
Don’t miss the punishment, as all six Superstars battle for the WWE Championship in the dreaded 16-foot-high, 10-ton ominous steel structure of the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out this Sunday. (Match Preview)
Montel Vontavious Porter def. Chavo Guerrero (DQ) (Photos) After Chavo Guerrero eliminated MVP in last week’s SmackDown Battle Royal, the reinvigorated Franchise Playa’ was out for some payback. But, just as he was rallying from a hard-fought match, United States Champion Shelton Benjamin emerged from nowhere to deliver Pay Dirt, getting some retribution of his own after losing to MVP in a non-title match last week. However, this gave MVP the win by disqualification, continuing his winning streak. The self-proclaimed “Mexican warrior,” Chavo Guerrero decided to add insult to injury, hitting the unconscious Ballin’ Superstar with the Frog Splash and raising his own arms in victory.
World Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison def. WWE Tag Team Champions Carlito & Primo (Photos) Carlito and Primo failed to get Nikki & Brie Bella flowers for Valentine’s Day. But, Miz & Morrison did not. This prompted a match to determine which tag team champions would take out the Bella Twins on Valentine’s Day night. With the referee distracted, Miz threw Primo from the top rope, setting up Morrison for the victory. Following the loss, Nikki & Brie exited ringside with the “Dirt Sheet” duo, leaving Carlito & Primo without the win or the Divas.
Maria def. Michelle McCool (Photos) After being attacked weeks ago by Michelle McCool, Maria was out to even the score. Michelle, however, had every intention of continuing her vicious wrath upon SmackDown Divas, targeting Maria’s injured ankle throughout their match. After her loss in debut singles action to McCool last week, Eve charged down the entrance ramp to help her friend Maria in any way she could. Michelle immediately started bullying the 2007 Diva Search winner, but Eve would not back down. However, the distraction created when McCool threw Eve into the ring allowed Maria to roll the former Divas Champion up for the three-count.
R-Truth def. Ezekiel Jackson (Photos) Despite a powerful onslaught by the intimidating Jackson, R-Truth ended Ezekiel’s undefeated record, reversing The Brian Kendrick’s associate’s ura-nage finisher for the quick pin.

Hey guys! Here's another update for your wrestling fix for today. This comes from the Baltimore Sun & an interview current WHC John Cena had w/ them. Here's the interview, enjoy!
World Heavyweight Champion John Cena spoke to Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun last week about his upcoming film "12 Rounds" (opening March 27th), The Wrestler, how acting is different than wrestling and more. You can read the entire interview at BaltimoreSun.com. Here are some of the wrestling-related highlights:
About a year ago, John Cena made some negative comments towards The Rock, saying he hasn't given back to the business after making it in Hollywood. Does he still have beef with The Great one and did they talk about it when he was at the Hall of Fame ceremony last year?
Cena: No. I don't want to say that you misread it; I may have been misquoted. What I actually said, and I'll stand true to it to this day, I don't even care, is that here's a guy who, when he was with the WWE, pounded his chest that he really loved the WWE, and that wasn't the truth. The truth is that Dwayne Johnson is a great actor and I think always wanted to be an actor, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's like an athlete saying, "Hey, I don't do drugs," and then getting busted for drugs. It's not the truth. I mean here's a guy who said he was WWE through and through, and then the first chance to take a road to a different career path, he took it. There's nothing wrong with that. Dwayne's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He's one of the hardest workers you'll ever meet, and he certainly is a great actor. The roadblock that I have, because I certainly am in love with this business and I don't see myself leaving it any time, is when someone says that and then leaves, it cheapens our business. If he's going to say that, then back your word. That's the only beef that I have and that's what I told the people at The U.K. Sun. It just cheapens that phrase: "Oh, I love this business." So then next time I come up and say I love this business, well, the guy before me who said that left. That doesn't look good for me or our business.
Him and Randy Orton came up through WWE's developmental system together. Did he and Orton ever think they'd be headlining WrestleMania one day?
Cena: No. As a matter of fact, when we were in OVW, we thought we wouldn't make it out of Kentucky. I don't want to say we were two lost souls, but we were surrounded by talent that was one of the greatest developmental units to ever be assembled. I think WWE started the developmental system in the mid '90s, and that class of 2000 through '02 I think is the most successful that has ever been. We were literally just two average guys among some very gifted performers, and never once did we think we'd be headlining WrestleMania.
What does he think about Orton's recent work?
Cena: I've said this before and I said this before his - what is this, his fifth or sixth "breakout?" - that he is the best guy we've got. He is certainly the best performer of my generation.

Some more news for you guys, it just came across on WWE.com: News on the '09 WWE Draft just broke, it'll take place in the ATL on April 13th, 2009 - eight days after 'Mania 25. Here's the latest:
2009 WWE Draft Announced For RAW April 13th By: Mike McAvennie Written: February 11th, 2009
WWE shakes up the landscape in Atlanta, Ga., on Monday, April 13th, when Raw hosts the 2009 WWE Draft LIVE on USA Network.
As if April couldn’t possibly get any bigger – WWE.com has learned that eight days following the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, WWE will “shake things up” once again, with a 2009 WWE Draft that will commence live on Monday Night Raw, on USA Network.
In many ways, the WWE Universe continues to feel the aftershocks created by from last year’s epic Draft on Raw (click here to relive 2008 Draft coverage), during which 10 Superstars changed their respective home brands. (Followed by more than a dozen Superstars who were affected by a subsequent Supplemental Draft that took place on WWE.com.) Several of those roster adjustments quickly resulted in title changes that dramatically altered the WWE landscape – among them, CM Punk winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Edge a week after the Straightedge Superstar had been drafted to Raw.
With that, what can our Superstars, General Managers and you, the WWE Universe, expect from the Draft when Raw commences live in Atlanta's Philips Arena April 13th? Details will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead, though one thing is certain: as per Mr. McMahon’s statement a year before, it will be “time to shake things up around here!”

Hey guys! I'm sure many of you have heard or saw that Christian has returned to the WWE. He came back this past Tuesday on ECW & I'm sure it was a complete surprise to many, many members of the WWE Universe (all of us here included). It's great to see him back w/ the E, he's always been a favorite Superstar of mine, whether it's been in WWE or TNA and no matter if he's been a face or a heel. I can't wait to see where the future takes him w/ the company, I'm hoping he works his way up to becoming World Champion again here really soon. From WrestlingRevealed.com, here's an awesome piece on Christian's return. Enjoy!
Christian Cage To ECW
At last, Christian Cage has shown up in WWE. However, the company has done something weird by putting him on the least important brand.
The Wait Is Over
For months, wrestling fans awaited for the reemergence of Christian Cage on national TV.
Christian Cage's contract with TNA had expired, and he was taking some time off to decide his future.
Was he going to stay in TNA where he would have been the top babyface (and leader of the Front Line stable)?
Or was he going to take a chance and return to WWE?
The anticipation for wrestling fans grew as the days wore on.
It grew to astronomical proportions when word spread that Christian Cage was rumored for a program with Jeff Hardy.
Well, the wait is over. Christian Cage is back in WWE.
Christian Cage To ECW
On Tuesday night, wrestling fans who witnessed ECW on Sci Fi saw the unexpected debut of Christian Cage.
It was a surprise because there weren't any reports of him making his return this week. Nor were there reports of him doing it on ECW.
However, there he was.
Wrestling fans were surprised, overjoyed and confused at the same time.
When a big name wrestler makes his return to the company, you would expect for it to happen on either Raw or Smackdown.
The reason for that is because there are just so many more WWE fans who don't watch ECW on a weekly basis.
Ratings Riser
You can bet that one of the biggest reasons why Christian Cage was thrown onto ECW was because management wanted to increase ratings for the brand.
While the company will never publicly admit it, it does bother WWE that the weekly ECW show has lost in the ratings to TNA iMPACT! a couple of times.
Christian Cage brings some hype to the show. That, in turn, should spark some curiosity in fans and increase the ratings.
Ratings for this week's episode might not be all that high since it was a surprise debut.
However, you can bet the farm that the ratings should increase next week.
Temporary Assignment
Don't get too comfortable with seeing Christian Cage on Tuesday nights.
His stint in ECW could be a very short one.
It's hard to imagine WWE bringing him back solely to have him as the centerpiece of the third brand.
Unless the company is trying to make TNA look bad, Christian Cage won't be stuck languishing in ECW. He'll be moved to one of the big brands.
Closing Thoughts
Being a big fan, I wanted to see Christian Cage back on television regardless if it was in WWE or TNA.

Hey guys! Here are your complete results from tonight's ECW broadcast, which saw the in-ring return of "Captain Charisma" himself, Christian. It's great to see him back, he's always been a favorite of mine over the years. Onto the results, enjoy!
A Triumphant Return
Christian returned to challenge ECW Champion Jack Swagger on ECW on Sci Fi.
February 10th, 2009
FRESNO, Calif. - Just days before ECW Champion Jack Swagger was set to defend his title against Finlay at No Way Out (Match preview), the cocky, young Superstar called out Hornswoggle. Much to the surprise of "The All-American American" - and the WWE Universe - instead of Finlay's son, Christian emerged to challenge the ECW Champion. (WATCH)
After Christian promised Swagger he'd challenge him or Finlay for the ECW Title after No Way Out, Swagger told Christian he's no threat to the All-American American. Christian then leveled Swagger, and moments later, ECW General Manager Theodore Long told Swagger he'd be facing Christian in non-title action that night.
World Tag Team Champion The Miz def. Tommy Dreamer After being mocked last week on ECW on Sci Fi by World Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison, Tommy Dreamer was seeking revenge. Unfortunately for the ECW Original who has vowed to walk away from WWE if he doesn't win the ECW Title before his contract expires in June, he wasn't able to get that retribution after The Miz picked up the victory.
Tyson Kidd def. Local Competitor Tyson Kidd brought his list of credentials - and Diva Natalya - to his first match on ECW on Sci Fi and easily picked up a victory over a local competitor. The athletic newcomer is a student of the Hart Family Dungeon, and was personally trained by Bret "Hit Man" Hart, Natalya's uncle. Kidd is already making an impact in the Land of the Extreme, and has caught the competitive eye of Jamie Noble.
Christian def. ECW Champion Jack Swagger After a 3½ year absence from WWE, Christian made a triumphant return, defeating ECW Champion Jack Swagger days before he'll defend the Extreme Title against Finlay at No Way Out. Finlay and Hornswoggle joined the ECW announce team to observe Finlay's No Way Out opponent. As Hornswoggle distracted the referee, the man who loves to fight assisted in Christian's victory by hitting Swagger with the shillelagh. Christian pinned the ECW Champion, leaving a normally cocky Swagger defeated before Sunday's pay-per-view.
